It's a tiny little park that is OK for eating lunch.
There isn't anything better nearby that's outside.
In no way is it worth going more than a block out of your way to visit.

This tiny little park is a charming New York City park near the South Street Seaport. There are ice age boulders of bedrock around the park and a number of benches to sit and relax. There are tiny fountains with running water during the summer months.
This park is a haven for brown sparrows, who chirp up a storm in the trees and bushes. There is also a bench near the 55 Fulton Market side that is often vacant, and we discovered why. The tree above it is being used by pigeons as a latrine, which I discovered the hard way. It's an idea to wear washable clothes to this park, as dry cleaning can be stained by pigeon droppings if you find yourself under the pigeon tree.
If you're in the area already visiting the South Street Seaport or the museums around that area, or the Financial District, it's worth a stroll to visit this little park. There is a sign on the corner of Gold Street and Fulton Street that indicates the park closes at dusk, so the closing times vary with the seasons, and you do want to plan to get there before closing. It's very relaxing to the many City workers who work in the area, and is right across the street from a large Lot For Less discount store, where you can get some fabulous buys. It's also about a block west of Midtown Comics.
I love seeing and hearing the songs of the little fluffy sparrows, who particularly love to hop around the bush and trees near the corner of Gold Street and Fulton, at the west entrance to the park.

Walking through the streets of Manhattan we came across this small park that seemed chic to us. The place is small, comfortable and is a small paradise or Oasis around so many concrete buildings.
