Excellent value for money, personal service and insider knowledge made for a great day in the various areas of Brooklyn. We sampled and learnt about food and cultures we would not have been able to discover on our own and came away with full bellies and an appreciation of NY beyond Manhattan. It was also a bonus to see locations featured in various films and tv series. We would definitely book on another of Ziggy’s tours on a return visit to New York.…

Review of: Ziggy's East Village Food Tour
This is my second tour with Ziggy in a month, which just goes to show what a wonderful job he does! We used to live near East Village and thought we were fairly familiar with it, but Ziggy managed to show us a whole new side of it by taking us to various hidden gems that we had never seen before. The food was excellent and diverse as always - from an secret Ukrainian supper hall to a chic new Southern Indian restaurant, from hummus and halva straight from the Holy Land to a hole in the wall innovative sandwich shop hidden in an old speakeasy, Ziggy's selections never fail to amaze! Ziggy painted a fascinating picture of the many facets of this constantly changing neighborhood - its little known past as a German village, followed by a tenure as Jewish Broadway with glamorous Yiddish theaters lining the streets, and evolution into a home for artists, rockers and musicians. If you want to experience the East Village in the full richness of its delicious past and present, this is the tour for you!…

Review of: Ziggy's Hell's Kitchen Food Tour
We had a wonderful time delving into a colourful storied neighbourhood through the eyes of our amazing guide Ziggy! His love and intimate knowledge of Hell’s Kitchen springs from the many years he spent working in and writing about the neighbourhood. Ziggy expertly brings the tales of Hell’s Kitchen to life with fascinating insights into its shady past and exciting present as a melting pot of international cuisines. The food selections are first rate, ranging from Ecuadorian to Portuguese to the only Druze restaurant in NYC! (If you have no idea what Druze is, all the more reason to come on the tour!) The small group size makes this a lovely and very personalised experience, compared to other food tours where you can have 14 people in a group. So if you want to go around the culinary world in three blocks and three hours, Ziggy’s is the tour for you!…

Review of: Ziggy's East Village Food Tour
What a treat to visit the "new" East Village with Ziggy and contrast it with the "old" 'hood where I went to school. Attention tourists: Forget the Empire State building and Times Square. Head down to the East Village and eat your way through history with Ziggy. It's jam-packed with lively places yet the history is still there. Ziggy provides the background info and brings it up-to-date with modern touches as you experience some off-the-beaten-track restaurants. The food is exceptional and I highly recommend this tour as a fabulous way to spend an afternoon. Next time I visit NY I'll put Ziggy's tour of Hell's Kitchen on my to-do list. Go for it -- you won't regret it. …

Ziggy says it is "not your usual food tour" and he is 100% correct, it is so much more than that. The food was exceptional and i had food i likely wouldn't have found on my own Uzbek lunch anyone!? On a cold day jumping in an out of a comfortable and warm vehicle was great. Ziggy is funny and personable and isn't your usual tour guide there is no "Professor Talkdown" attitude here, Ziggy is your mate for a few hours showing you things, places and food he has personal experience of and his personality shines through all of it. i will definitely look into the other tours when im back in the city. Thanks for the tour Ziggy!…
