On January 19th, 2020, my wife and I with a group of travellers from Ottawa Valley Tours stopped to visit the World Trade Centre Station (WTCS). This scheduled visit was part of our New York City tour. After eight years of construction the WTCS opened in March 2016 as part of the World Trade Centre Complex that is within the Financial District Neighborhood of Manhattan. The main station house is called the Oculus which has been praised for its design and consist of white ribs that interlock high above the ground. The Westfield World Trade Centre Mall is also within the Oculus building. We took many photos of the Station’s interior and exterior; we would recommend this landmark stop to family and friends.

This is the station that the PATH train from New Jersey ends at when entering the WTC complex. It's a great way to travel to and from the NJ Transit trains if you want to enter NYC in Lower Manhattan. The Oculus building is interesting, with lots of shops and restaurants. There are also several overlook areas towards the top of the building that looks down on the concourse. Worth stopping in when visiting the Trade Center area. Good place to visit on a rainy day or to come in from the cold.

The design of this building is absolutely beautiful and takes your breath away. When the sun was shining and it stood against the clear blue sky. you couldn't fail to be impressed. It floods the insde with light and the shopping area inside was well worth visiting too (and was very tastefully decorated for the festive season too). Well worth a visit. (Superb chocolate shop that chocoholics need to visit - we even brought some home and that's unheard of for American chocolate).

This stunning building looks like something a milliner would use to decorate an elegant headpiece. Add a few feathers and it would take flight. I understand the design allows light to shine through into the darkness below, which it truly does. The shopping area inside is cathedral like and the huge cavern is glowing with light. Brilliant.

Our first visit to this new Transportation Hub that was built to replace the previous system destroyed during the 2001 World Trade Center Attack.

This Station combined three locations from the past. The World Trade Center station called the Path & IRT, NYC Transit Authority Church St Subway and the NYC TA Broadway Line. The Broadway line has an additional Hub that was built separately but can be accessed via a walk thru tunnel.

The Center Station also contains many shops and stores like the previous Trade Center Concourse contained.

Built in this unusual Architectural Bird in Flight shape was approved give this up lift to the Plaza being rebuilt after the 2001 attack.

Truly a Photo Op to bring home to share with others of the rebuilt of the World Trade Center Complex.

This is a major transit center where a couple of systems come together. We have been here to take the PATH to Jersey and to hook up with various subway lines. And up on the surface you have the interesting Oculus structure to make to stop and think. Some shopping here.

What a stunning building (inside and out) has been created for the new transport interchange at the WTC. Worth a visit to see in its own right there are also shops inside (including a small ice cream vendor with delicious ice creams). There are 'benches' available to sit on at ground level inside the atrium.

This is a remarkable building. Not sure what the point of the shape is but its soaring shape and vast interior is awe inspiring. If you are in lower Manhattan make it a point to stop and at least walk through to take in the remarkable building.

Transportation Hub in Lower Manhattan serving both the NYC subway and PATH trains to New Jersey with some of the most impressive architecture found. Known as The Oculus. Great spot to get some amazing photos.

An extremely practical transfer point where you can easily move among subway lines and to the PATH train. This is new and part of the transformed area around the World Trade Center. There is food here and a little bit of shopping
