It's interesting but not too exciting. Only if you really are interested in the history of New York. I really enjoyed the documental but the rest is boring.

If you've not been in quite a while, the City Museum is now an up-to-date, beautiful, modern facility with a stunning LED display above the grand staircase, high-tech exhibits including projections, interactive displays, and some (frankly) incredible technology. I've always loved the City Museum, and...More

Was pleasantly surprised by this museum. Film about the history of New York was very well made and instructive. Had a great time in the interactive room too. Spent much more time there than I expected.

We wanted to see something no other city had so this museum was spot on. It showcases the history and the culture of the city. It was poignant and evocative and personal yet global. Wow.

Small gem of a museum. Good way to get a quick essence of the history of New York. Even good for native New Yorkers like myself who know or experienced many of the events described here, but good to get an historical context and perspective.
