Every international brand is represented along Fifth Avenue and even if you don't intend to buy anything, it is still a lovely outing to walk from one end to the other (could almost take a day to do!). Every shop is represented, book shops, high-end fashion, Zara's, H & M's, Restaurants, Cafes, Libraries, Parks etc etc. Walking along Fifth Avenue... More

An icon of our society. Capitalism and fith avennue must be cousins or very close friends. If you go to NY and don´t walk or stop in 5th avennue, your trip hasn´t been complete.

For old movie and TV buffs 5th avenue seemed to come up as the place to shop. Well it's true, there are numerous upscale places as well as a good mix of lesser priced shops, places to eat or have a drink. Good place if you want to be with other people.

We were staying on W. 57 St., and I told my 11 year old grandson that Trump Tower was only 2 blocks away. His eyes opened wide! I used to work in NY and love the city. We took a walk from the hotel along C. Park South over to 5th Ave. There, at the Grand Army Plaza, the site... More

Every store window has wonderful displays during the Holiday! We came to town the first weekend in December right after the tree was lit at Rockefeller and it was the best time of the year to be in NYC!

5th avenue is busy from 6am with traffic and soon fills up with pedestrians as the restaurents and shops open up. It then continues on through the day and only starts to quite down around 9:00pm

There are shops on 5th Avenue, 6th Avenue and 7th avenue. All which are great, some designer and some normal shops. They have great NYC stores to pick up souvenirs, and there is a Sephora on every street, which is great for teenagers. It is still very busy in these areas, so if you love shopping then this is definitely... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
