When we arrived to Battery park we saw this park. Even from the ferry it can be seen. By the time we got back from Ellis Island we were overwhelmed with information and we slowly walked through it! Lovely!

Many benches to rest from walking NYC all day. Quiet with breeze from the water & a view of Lady Liberty. Will definitely go back to explore more of Battery Park south next time. It's like a separate mini-city within the Big Apple but still close to the new WTC & memorial pools.

Right behind Brookfield Place when exiting through the back doors. There's sailing excursions (and school!), large well-lit walkways, and amazing views. There's several great areas for photo ops and it ultimately "connects" to Battery Park.

Walked through here after eating at Brookfield Place. Very tranquil and relaxing space. This is our new favorite outdoor space downtown.

Small playground located in the Battery Park. Many small structures are placed to enjoy for children’s. Nice view and play area is maintained very well.

Battery Park is along the waterfront of Manhattan facing New Jersey and it is lined with great places to shop to eat, to watch people, take a run/walk.

Battery Park City has benefited from tremendous development over the last 20 years. One of our favorite areas to play down here is the Nelson A. Rockefeller playground and park which runs along the Hudson River. You can easily spend a whole day here. The playground feels fresh with a breeze coming off the Hudson from one side and towering... My daughters first trip to NYC included mandatory trips to playgrounds (she's 6). I did some research and this one had great reviews, so we took a cab from midtown and it was so worth it. Of the 3 playgrounds we visited on this trip, it was her favorite. The self-powered cycle merry-go-round was the main attraction, but the tree-house... More

I was greatly pleased at finding this place next to Battery Park city. This adds to the "greening" of the city and is a very pleasent place and free place to relax i9n. With views of hte city it is a good place to rest and sip your coffee and just gaze out on the water and we swept away... More

My son love playing on the many different structures at this park. One of the most unique pieces was a self-powered merry go round. The kids had to peddle to make the merry go round go. Of course parents often had to help get past the inertia.
