The Seaport District is located on the East River in Lower Manhattan with unparalleled views of the Brooklyn Bridge and the city’s iconic skyline. The rich history as New York’s original commercial hub and its storied waterfront location make the Seaport District one of New York City’s most unique settings. The Seaport District is being revitalized into a top destination in New York City for unique culinary, fashion, entertainment and cultural experiences. An essential part of New York for over 300 years, the re-envisioned Seaport District will continue to function as a much-needed community anchor for the rapidly growing population of Lower Manhattan.

The entire village, once teeming with activity is a ghost town. Surprising for NYC. There is a lot of construction. It is very unwelcoming. Wait a few years to see what they make of it.

Unfortunately the seaport area is still under construction. Hopefully over the next few months Pier 17 will be finished and restaurants and stores will open. There are few options for food or shopping at this time

The seaport tries to bring to life a time when the shores of Manhattan were lined with the sails of ships from around the world. I visited it years ago, and now the seaport is undergoing a "rejuvenation". I am still captured by the history...More

Love the lilac painted underside of what I think is a bridge. Looks a bit sparse and unfinished on the waterfront but still an amazing view of the Hudson river (think its the Hudson river) and over to all the high rise building The Seaport...More

We were frequent visitors to the seaport "back in the day", for concerts, beer, shopping, and a nice place to stroll around. These days we spend most of our time further uptown, and were unaware that the Seaport buildings were closed for years due to...More
