WHAT THE PRESS LIKES TO SAY ABOUT US Time Out New York--November 25-December 1, 2004 "Taking the decadence of bottle service to the next level…" Shecky's--December 15, 2004 "Big spenders will dig the subterranean upscale lounge…." Gotham--November 2004 "… impressive, fresh high-end…" UnCin--December 2004 "49 Grove is a elagant lounge, the stylish kind that all of us grownups have been craving downtown. The place appeals to a sophisticated crowed seeking service, intimacy, comfort and style." Social Life--December 2004 "An upscale lounge … fusing service, intimacy, comfort and style, reminiscent of yesterday catering to a sophisticated crowed." In New York--February 2005 " 49 Grove's candlelit staircase leads to an intimate oasis with signature 49 Grove cocktails." Razor--November 2004 "Enter 49 Grove, what is about to become Manhattan's hottest lounge. Opened in late October by "it guy" Aram Sabet (of the Hampton's restaurant Pacific East), 49 Grove has already caught the valuable attention of trust-fund babies and high-profile personalities. Why? Because this four room mecca is designed to pamper, with on-site personal security, limos and bottle service at your beck and call - along with some of the city's best food and European music." Time Out New York--February 24-March 2, 2005 "Aram Sabet, the owner of West Village nightspot 49 Grove, offers the usual bottle-service spread...But doesn't blink when asked to procure cigarettes, pizza, McDonald's meals, Chinese food, ice creams, burgers, eye drops, tampons, or reservations at hotels and restaurants in New York, Miami and Vegas…… Sabet paid for a stretch limo to bring me to his club - he uses a company called Billionare Travel Services - and politely removed a gaggle of gals from a bottle service area so I could experience the dual thrill of ousting plebes from a private section and then looking out at a crowd that no doubt wondered who the hell I was." Metro—November 19-21, 2004 "Painfully hip New Yorkers take note: Word on the street is that Aram Sabet's 49 Grove will be the new hotspot to score a spot on the guestlist. The swank West Village lounge features luxe bonuses such as on –call fleet of Maybachs, S-500 Mercedes and Range Rovers; a parked "smoking limo," where puffers can enjoy their cancer sticks in warmth and comfort; and a menu that has everything from mini Kobe burgers to Petrossian WHAT THE PRESS LIKES TO SAY ABOUT US Time Out New York--November 25-December 1, 2004 "Taking the decadence of bottle service to the next level…" Shecky's--December 15, 2004 "Big spenders will dig the subterranean upscale lounge…." Beware of Groupon Deal
Apr 2015 • Couples
Groupon has this "too good to be true" deal where for $29 you and another person can get 4 specialty cocktails, an appetizer and free admission for any friends you invite to VIP. What the fine print doesn't tell you until you pay and email the owner is that this is only for up to an hour, the gratuity and tax is RIDICULOUS and the VIP is more like L-A-M-E.

The music completely SUCKS! Several people including myself went up to the DJ to complain and he gave us some lame excuse that the "boss" wants him to play the music he's playing for right now (which was some weak techno/bass music). There was no variety until 30 minutes before closing.

The place is small, the carpets were sticky and people started leaving around 1 because the music was just unbearable. I wanted to get the most out of my deal since we had to be there for 10pm (why I don't know because it was empty) and I had not broke a sweat all night because there was nothing we could dance to.

The only thing I would say is that when you got there, the bouncer made you feel like you were going to get VIP treatment, and our waitress was ok, but they didn't have everything they displayed on the menu, which kind of irritated us at bit. The drinks were strong, which is a plus...but I'm assuming so they'd hope we would get so drunk we wouldn't realize how bored we were.

Groupon SCAM!
Oct 2014 • Friends
This place is TERRIBLE! Bought the group on but they charge you for tip (nearly $200) and tax. The tax, I understand that happens with groupons. But pre-added tip of 200, a bit excessive. AND they added a cupcake tower to my bill, which A) I hate cupcakes and B) my friends and I wouldn't or have ever, ordered cupcakes at a lounge. I emailed the owner, Aram, about this several times. He said he would look into this and of course, never got back to me. F--- this place, it's not even that nice and the carpets were sticky to boot.

Quaint lounge but chairs aren't comfortable
Aug 2014 • Friends
Got a deal to check out this place for a friend's birthday. Cute little spot, not much happening other than the bar and the dj. Small dance area, the couches looked fine but the other seating is very uncomfortable and awkward especially for ladies in club attire (very low to the ground). The cupcake tray was cool but not worth the price.
Wait staff were friendly and timely.
I'd go again if I had a reason and another deal

Me and my girls had a blast! Great place and awesome atmosphere. I head here all the time because I know that it's going to a great time. The drinks are great and the music is even better. If you are ever in the village looking for a place to go this is the place to be! I will definitely always come back.

Had a great time
Apr 2013 • Friends
I have visited this hot spot in the west village numerous times and always had exceptional service and a great time. The Bar staff and bus boys were extremely attentive to our group as we both mingled at the bar and then used a bottle voucher I purchased from gilt.com. The room has such a nice ambiance with the low ceilings and dim lighting. by about 1:30am the club was really going with great music, the DJ really knows how to feel the crowd! All around, great time, will be returning very soon!

Eh expected more
Feb 2011 • Friends
It was my buddy's 23rd birthday and he wanted to do something special. So we all chipped in for bottle service at 49 grove st, initially they were going to give us this great deal where we were getting a free bottle with the purchase of one seeing as it was our friends birthday and we had a big group of 8 people. But that all changed when we arrived, The person who ran bottle service said they could not offer us the deal, on top of that they placed our group all the way in the back corner of the club. While the DJ was playing some great music, overall I expected a lot more. In my opinion I wouldn't recommend this club to my other friends

Typical NYC Lounge
Aug 2011 • Friends
I went here on an outing of friends celebrating their birthdays. The music was good. But the venue was crowded and the place felt like a cramped basement at times. Even though the bouncer rushed us to finish our bottle he compensated by giving the ladies a free drink which I thought was nice of him.
