Nice park with lots to offer
Jul 2021 • Couples
We walked through this park on our way to a different activity. However, there were a lot of people taking advantage of the park’s amenities. They have a softball/soccer field, dog run, playground, relaxing areas, and walking paths.

Nice little park on a hot day
Jun 2021
It is a nice little park in the middle of a residential and commercial area that needs the green space. The back part of the part facing 12th Avenue is going under a renovation so enter from the 11 Avenue entrance.

It has a nice playground, a very popular dog park and nice benches to relax under in the shade on a hot day. It is a nice place to take a break and just relax for the afternoon.

CLINTON PARK
Apr 2019 • Family
Located off 11th avenue and 54th street in Manhattan, Clinton Park is teaming with activity during the evening. Dedicated to soldiers who died at Flander’s fields in world War I, there is a war memorial built by Burt Johnson(1890-1927). This Park is mainly a sports ground now with multiple facilities and a well kept Garden. The playing fields are well lit and players can be seen upto 11 PM at night, especially during the week ends. Worth a visit if are visiting the area.

Green Oasis in concrete jungle?
Jan 2018 • Friends
Slight exaggeration as it's on the river by the cruise terminals but it is a very nice park even when the weather is overcast. There is a dog exercise area, walking paths, some great soccer fields and best of all benches to sit and watch the Hudson River. The gardens are nice too.

A green oasis.
Jul 2017 • Family
Lots of beautiful trees, dog exercise zones, a sports field where people jog, play soccer and baseball. There are also tennis walls and basketball. There's plenty of seating throughout the park.
To top it off there's a lovely memorial to those from this neighborhood who gave their lives fighting for the US in WW1.

Located in the west fifties adjacent to to cruise terminals on the Hudson River you can enjoy lots of activities from sitting on a bench, playing or watching a soccer game, using handball court, get wet in kiddy sprinkle . Yes dogs welcome to roam in separate areas for lap dogs and real dogs. Amazing rose and perennials gardens O the north and south perimeter ideal for Memorial weekend, do admire and reflect upon the WWE Doughboy honoring locals who died there from the former Hell,s Kitchen area.

Great Soccer Fields
Feb 2017 • Family
This park has a great soccer field - a great field for any sport actually. I have seen baseball, soccer, and other sports played here.

There is also a dog park area and clean restrooms.

A pleasant park with many activities

De Witt Clinton Park is a great neighborhood park. In the Erie Canal Playground one can find play equipment, safety surfacing, painted games, swings, benches, drinking fountains, concrete play mules (named Sal, Pal and Gal) and a frog spray shower within the play area, and a dog run caters to the canine set. Maria's Perennial Garden features flowers of the 1800s, rock garden species, and plants that attract birds, bees and butterflies.

Some of the park's biggest attractions are its sports fields: locals come by to play basketball, baseball, soccer, and handball. My best friend often plays three on three basketball here; last week I watched as he wore himself out for an hour -- I then took them all to a friendly bar for a beer or two.

The doughboy is the work of sculptor Burt W. Johnson (1890-1927) and architect Harvey Wiley Corbett. It was commissioned by the Clinton District Association as a memorial to the young men from the neighborhood who died in World War I, and was dedicated on June 8, 1930. The monument features a pensive infantryman known as a “doughboy” holding poppies in his right hand and a rifle slung over his left shoulder. The granite pedestal is inscribed with a verse from the famous poem by John McCrae (1872-1918), In Flanders Fields. This is one of nine doughboy statues in New York City parks.
