Neighborhood: Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

Easy to find, on the 7th Ave. You can get beautiful pictures. It is not crowded. Try to go during the day because there is no light at night.

Cute little photo op
Nov 2019
Set in the middle of the street, the Hope sculpture is easy to stumble upon when exploring the city. There used to be a Love sculpture too, but last I read it had been removed for cleaning and there is some debate as to whether it will return. Cute opportunity for an Instagram post though not necessarily a must-visit.

The HOPE Sculpture is red and large. It is visible on the street. It’s a small chance for a Hope-ful photo opportunity

Quick photo opportunity
Dec 2019 • Friends
I really wanted to see the Love sculpture but it was gone! I like things like this within cities so we walked a few blocks out of our way for a picture.

one minute visit
Nov 2019
People are keep taking photos and pass, just one minute. This is not a must see actually, don't wast your time. there are more best places to see in NY.

Cool picture opportunity, yes it’s on a corner but it’s safe to take pics and we found everyone respectful taking turns and walking round.

Great photo op!

My husband and I enjoy looking for the odd places or objects to photograph. The hope sculpture is on the corner and took some patience to get a good pic. Honestly I thought it would be more busy, but glad it wasn't! It's a fun place to stop for a photo.

No surprises here

Stoppe d here on the way to a Broadway show. Too many people hanging and sitting on it to get a photo with my kids on it. Appreciate it for what it is. Its pretty cool and go about your day. I wouldn't go out of your way to see this.

Sign on street corner
Apr 2019 • Family
The HOPE sign is right on a street corner which does make it hard to take photos. People will walk right in front of the sign as you are about to click your camera. But if you do get an unobstructed photo, it is a nice sign.
