A must during Christmas holidays!

A real warm feeling of Christmas. The majestic tree, the kids on skates bundled up, the couples holding hands, so nice just to stand there and take it all in! Enjoy!

It was crazy - packed the Sunday before Christmas, but we went back on a week day (and evening) and it was much better. The decorations were so festive and it was a great photo op.

This is worth spending some time wandering around the shops and arcades. There is a lot of modern history in this building.

Must see!!!!...,,,but a definite "tourist trap". Be sure to check out their website for rates for skating and of course ice skating rentals. They offer "themed" skating times (check out website) or just regular. We can say we have skated at Rockafeller Plaza....be mindful that it is always crowded. Not enough space to skate and not budget friendly. I know... More

On xmas eve went there, must if you are in NYC to ice skate, bit expensive but ice skate with your partner must. Many restaurant/cafe there in the basement of the rock feller plaza. Food/drink bit expensive but worthy on a special day.

We saw how they were riding the famous building tree. It's a shame we went before they turned on their lights.

Extremely crowded on Christmas day. Didn't have to walk, was being pushed by the crowds. Enjoyed it though! The Christmas tree was spectacular and so were decorations around it. The short show on the Saks building was also entertaining. Very Christmasssy!!!

We had fun looking at the Christmas tree and watching the skaters, but there is not much else there. It is good for a quick visit.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
