Very cool building. This is the place where many classic tv shows have been filmed including The Tonight Show, Late Night, and Saturday Night Live. The Today Show films right next door.

Nice place to walk around and see the ice skaters and all the Christmas lights. Then go inside and get a Ben and Jerry's ice cream.

The Rock Center tour is really cool, but unfortunately the NBC tour was all booked. Buy that in advance if you want to go on it.

Great time at Christmas season with friends. Skating is fun. Shopping stores around are abundant. St Patrick's Cathedral is up in the corner for a visit. Saks Fifth is across for shopping spree. The Rockettes Show and tour is up the other end.

I love this center especially in the winter with the ice skating rink and the famous Christmas tree. check out Saks with their festive window adornments and light show every 15 minutes or so. Great shopping nearby.

This iconic location has the tall tower at its centre, with a huge mall under the plaza. Some good works of art are scattered around the centre with seating areas around to sit and people watch. The cacti beds are a novel attraction and cleverly created.

If you have lots of time to spare, this is okay to go to but otherwise, can be missed unless you are fond of the gold and glittery sculptures that seem to line the skyline and the streets of Manhattan.

When you go to Rockefeller Center everyone goes to the ice rink to see the Prometheus Fountain and in winter the Rockefeller Tree. But what they miss is the history here and the amazing architecture and murals all over the plaza and other buildings. Take a walking tour or just pop into all the lobbies of the buildings and see... Wonderful interesting place. Plan a good amount of time especially if you plan on taking the tour as well as visiting the area. Flowers and decorations are amazing. Place is amazingly clean for the number of people visiting and working.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
