You really cannot miss walking up and down this street. Macy’s on it too, easy to find, plenty shops all around, nothing special but seems pretty Main Street. We spent most our time between Time Square, 34th St and 7th/ 5th Avenue. Metro stations are all around as well.

34th Street is a pleasure to walk. At around 10am, we felt like we had the street to ourselves. Plenty of shopping but not as luxurious as Fifth Avenue or 57th Street. A good amount of eateries and yes, Macy's.

A major crosstown street where you will find Macy's and other shopping as well as the Empire State Building. Good street to take a crosstown bus as the traffic usually moves. Some delis and restaurants along the way.

For most Long Islanders like myself, all trips on the Long Island Railroad begin on 34th Street. Definitely a congested walk during peak times. Plenty of great shopping and restaurants. And The Empire State Building.

If you happen to be in this part of Manhattan then OK. It's located near many things like Penn Station, Macy's, and the Empire State building to name of few. But seeking out 34th St W. is not worth the time...unless you plan on being in Manhattan for a month.

34th Street is where I begin any trip into Manhattan after getting off the Long Island Railroad. First stop is for coffee or grab a crosstown bus. It's a very quick paced, crowded environment. There is plenty of shopping and restaurants. And the Empire State Building.

I stayed on 34th whilst on trip to NYC. Great street in central NYC with lots to see and do from East to West including the Empire State Building, MACYS, Hudson Yards shops plus ferry terminal on the east side and piers & The Intrepid near the west side. Plenty of restaurants also including The Long Hall (Irish Bar) and Masala King (Indian Restaurant)... if you visit 34th you'll get a good cross section of what NYC has to offer.

Lots of great shops and merchants. Went on foot along the whole area but never feel tired as we went into almost all the shops. Best was, there is free wifi most of the area. I was able to share some photos with friends immediately, or to decide which to buy.

As a native New Yorker, I love all the boros but Manhattan, certainly has something special. And the big streets, like 42nd street and 34th are a must see. If you walk from east to west, you can get a feel for NYC and browse around the stores. You have Macy´s, the Manhattan Mall, Bryant Park, etc.

There is a lot around here: Macy's, the Empire State Bldg., Penn Station, Madison Sq. Garden. So this is one of the centers of Manhattan. Lots going on.
