We are only open early August to late November/early December each season. If you see hours listed here on TripAdvisor on dates outside this range, they are incorrect. Always check our website for the most up-to-date information. We are a Pick-your-own apple orchard offering family-fun activities including apple and cider tastings, hayrides and a nature walk through a "bamboo" forest. Our season typically runs from the first week of August to the last week of November or first week of December depending on weather and other factors.

Didn't realize there were so many apple varieties. There was a view of apple orchards for miles which was amazing. Lots of honeybees around, because they are attracted to the apple juice. If you are very afraid of bees or have an allergy, best stay...More

We drove a very long way, only to find they were closed for picking "but we could happily walk the orchard". I checked the web site before we left and it never said their picking season was closed. Not nice. SO easy to put that...More

Apple donuts are amazing. I had no idea until we visited the orchard. There is a hayride and petting zoo. Glad we chose Sky Top! Dog friendly too.

Self picking was over for the season. Had bags of apples, pies, donuts, and bins of apples where you could select your mix of apples. Pet friendly but not in the store. Play area for children.

Apple picking was closed but still a large variety of pre-picked apples to purchase. Apple slices to sample, playgrounds for the kids, and purchase hayrides. Great apple cider donuts, cider and cider slushies, bottled hard cider for the grown ups, caramel apples and fudge to...More

This place has become a family tradition with me, my son, his wife, and soon my grandson. I've been to Skytop alone to commune with nature and eat doughnuts, and with my kids to pick apples, feed the animals, and enjoy the day. I like...More

Never have I seen so many of so many different kinds of apples. Add to that outstanding cider, and you have apple paradise. The Apple prices were better than any food store. The cider is excellent, but expect to pay a premium price. Play area...More

Went there while traveling up in Asheville and this is a great place to stop with the family. They have a few play areas for the kids (Slides) and such. They offer hay rides, apple picking and a gift shop. I didn't see a pumpkin...More

Wife and I were there late in the season but they still had a good selection of apples that were picked and bagged. Great homemade apple butter. Come in late September.

Yes its $2 per person. It is a very bumpy ride, but if you enjoy the beautiful mountains, it takes you around back of the orchard and its beautiful. It takes to places you might not know was there otherwise. Otherwise... More
