This place has a lot of local history, but alot of the items can be seen anywhere. However the duck decoys were great art work and the view from the third floor of cape lookout was amazing

Great museum telling the stories of the down east North Carolina waterman and waterfowl hunters. Lots of decoys. Self guided. Great view of Cape Lookout from top of the museum.

If you are near Emerald Isle, Beaufort, Morehead City make the drive to Harker's Island to visit this museum. While it isn't a large museum it is full of interesting exhibits which tell the rich history of the area. The staff is friendly and informative....More

lots of displays from each downeast commmunity. hundreds of antigue decoys on display.just take your time and browse,you'll be surprised at all the history you will learn

One time visit is more than sufficient. Unfriendly woman greeter. Demanded outragious entrance fee supposedly a volunteery contribution. Terribly rude woman.
