Totally wonderful adventure to the Outer Banks Distilling. My Aunt and her boyfriend had gotten me some rum from them last year. So since visiting down there for my birthday I know I needed to stop in and I visited more then once that long weekend. There bar is amazing and little shop is great too. Sadly due to Covid they were not doing tours but you go to see inside the distilling are through a window. Hopefully the next time I am there the tours will start back up and Covid will not restrict as much. Great place and cocktails.

Found Outer Banks Distilling while we were getting tires put on our camper. I wandered in and was greeted very nicely. The guy was very energetic explaining to me the various ways they make their rum. I learned a great deal of history about rum and the various ways in which rum is made. Was able to taste 3 different types of rum - each having a very distinct flavor. I don’t know a lot about how to explain the taste but each one was very smooth going down. On their Website they have various drinks to make with their rum. They have a bar area you can purchase some of their specialty cocktails - unfortunately for me it did not open up til 12:00 noon. They also sell Kill Devil Pecans which one of their rums are soaked in during the processing time. I ended up purchasing the pecans and a bottle of the Kill Devil Pecan and Honey Rum. I can’t wait to get home and try it in some of their cocktail recipes! Highly recommend visiting this establishment!

We came last year & did the distillery tour & tastings. Brought home a couple of different rums among other items. While COVID has stopped distillery tours, the shop is still open & we grabbed another rum & reloaded on some of the stuff we had already used. Super cool staff. Highly recommend checking them out when you are in the area!

We had a tasting of three kinds of rum. The Silver label was the best. Then we sat in the little bar and had a cocktail. The bar tender was nice and offered his advise.
