We stopped here to meet our kayak tour. It has a picnic area, clean restrooms, a great information center. Best of all, it has a boardwalk nature walk. Alth.ough this is our third trip to Manteo, we had never stopped at this center. We recommend you do it on your first trip. The area is maintained beautifully and we enjoyed taking the boardwalk to the water. I come to this area often but the information I get here always teaches me something new and somewhere to go. Well worth the time spent there. Nice people in a very nice facility.

You have read all the reviews, planned all your stays, got all your coupons (you think) and you no one has to go to the bathroom. Stop anyway. The visitors center is very clean. A welcome stop enroute to the Outer Banks. The grounds are very nicely manicured.

There is a lot of information to be found here. Start here to find out about the attractions and restaurants available. Staff wasn't were interactive.

Make sure to stop here, it's a great place to get clued up on the local happenings. Lots of brochures & coupons but good reccos on local good & places to visit not on the maps!

Make a stop here. Tons of helpful information booklets. Lots of coupons books. Friendly and helpful workers. Very helpful in planning things to do and restaurants to try.

This is a great rest stop, the staff is very friendly and helpful. The facility is very clean, great location and plenty of parking! Great stop if you are in the area. Plenty of brochures and info available!!
