White Crest is a beautiful windswept beach. Access is via a steepish dune with soft sand. It's quite the workout to come back up after a day at the beach. My family often parks at White Crest and walks down the beach to the Beachcomber...More

Great beach - however, you'd better be physically able to climb down and up a very long, steep hill to get to the ocean. I'd compare access to the beach like the trails you'd ride a donkey down at the Grand Canyon. We chose this...More

Visit this beach during the off season and it will belong to you. I did, in the month of November. Free Parking. No Crowds. Just take a peaceful walk and the beach will belong to you.

We had the good fortune to live on Siesta Key--site of a perennial top-10 beach--for a few years, but I love this beach. It was our favorite over any of the National Seashore beaches.

Due to the long walk down the staircase to the beach, White Crest is less crowded than adjoining Lecount's Hollow, Cahoon Hollow or Newcomb Hollow. It's a lot of fun.

This beach has a great view of the sunrise, but it's not easy to get to the water, especially if you're not ready for a cardio workout getting back up. There is a steep slope you have to climb made of loose sand. If you're...More

The hike down to this beautiful beach isn't for the unsteady, but you can enjoy a lovely view in the morning and evening from the parking lot if that's all you're after. This is a popular spot for surfers. Make sure you get here early...More

You'll need a Wellfleet town sticker to park there in high season. All you need to do is go to the office down at the harbor, show proof of rental, and you're good to go. The town beaches are all fine, but White Crest has...More

Beautiful beach just a tough walk back up a graded slope. No stairs which could be good if you have a beach cart loaded with chairs and coolers on wheels, .
