About
CYCC is a semi-private country club located in the fishing village of Wellfleet, Massachusetts, on picturesque Cape Cod. Our 9 hole golf course has two sets of tees for 18 hole play with fabulous views of Wellfleet Harbor. The club also offers three Nova Pro Turf tennis courts, a sailing club with a camp for children ages 7-14, and clubhouse/boat house facilities for weddings and special events. CYCC is open to the public on a daily use basis.

Beyond Horrible-Go Elsewhere

Bring your rubber boots and bug spray if you plan to play this course. It cost us (a twosome) $105 (plus another $10 for bug spray) to play this course. I am appalled at the audacity of this "country club" to charge full rates when several of the wholes were underwater and unplayable (unless you were wearing rubber boots). The only warning we were given was about the mosquitos, and even that was an understatement. They should not allow play with these deplorable conditions. Be forewarned.
If you are looking for a fun nine holes go to Blue Rock Resort in Yarmouth.

A keen little place!

I was skeptical about the club’s open-to-the- public policy before visiting, but soon found the beauty upon getting there. The club overlooks this stunning little sliver of water and I was told amazing weddings have been held here!

My husband and I came out from Northampton to visit my sorority sister who now lives on Cape full-time. I was amazed at how kindly they treated us even not as members per se.

I will say that if there is one thing this business could improve upon, it would be their loot! Durable collared shirts with the yacht club flag, etc. would have been great to have taken home. Sweatshirts, stickers, the whole sha-bang!

Loved the location, the atmosphere, and it is minutes away from duck Harbor, a beautiful place to watch the sun set!

BEAUTIFUL COURSE, BUT ONLY SOMETIMES
Jun 2019 • Couples
If you enjoy your golf, then you will appreciate the routing of this course. It's 9 holes with 2 sets of tees and they do a good job of mixing it up so you play the same holes twice but they really don't play like the same holes with the different tees. And the design is beautiful and so is the course. Beautiful. I'm not a big fan of gasoline carts and that's what they have, but they do the job. They're 'touchy' and not nearly as smooth and quiet as battery carts. My only real problem with this course is that it floods easily and when we played it, holes 6 and 7 were completely flooded and most of 8. We had time to play only 9 holes that day, so when 30% of the course is flooded, it concerns me that they charge full price for a round. Did we know it was soggy and wet? No. The course was recommended to us by a local friend but we had no prior knowledge it would by unplayable in places because of water. Unfortunate that management deems it good practice to charge full price for a course that was 30% unplayable. But the course is beautiful and I imagine if you can catch it dry, it must be fun to play.

Disappointing round of golf
Aug 2018 • Couples
My wife and I played golf at Chequessett and were disappointed in the general condition of the course. The fairways on many holes were muddy, although it has been an extremely dry summer on cape cod, the bunkers are more dirt piles than sand traps and the mosquitoes were plentiful and hungry. I was surprised that a semi-private course would be in such poor condition.

Great spot

Drove up from Hyannis for a first sailing lesson, as we had friends staying nearby in Wellfleet. What a great place..tennis/golf one side of the road, sailing in the bay the other. Scheduled for a 2 hour lesson total, but our instructor a) had several issues getting the 3 of us away from shore, and b) realized we were slowly taking on water because a plug/seal wasn't adjusted properly. All that said, absolutely loved both the sailing and the club itself, and will be back for 3 days in the area next time in order to take full advantage of the great facilities. Beautiful spot.

Great Vacation Activity
Jun 2015 • Friends
As a person who has summered on cape cod my entire life none of the experiences at other clubs were as great as at Chequessett. From the friendly staff to the dependable managers up in the office who are always up to answer questions. I recall this past summer I asked one of their kitchen staff a question about a two week membership for my parents, they didn't know the information but they gave me the application and called Karen Walther (the Member Services Manager) to assist in any further questions. Within my first week or two being a member I already started to feel like family. The staff learned my name and made sure to call me by it within the first couple visits. This place has a beautifully matained golf course though it maybe short it was one of my best games yet. Overall this is a wonderful family friendly location for people of all ages! I recommend this place to all my friends when they visit the Cape.

If you are looking for a wonderful quaint 9 hole golf course, you have found it in coming to Chequessett Yacht & Country Club. Not only is the course in great shape, they also have tennis and sailing. For the children they have a camp which includes golf, sailing and tennis.
The staff is excellent as well and they have a great snack bar
Don't forget to look at the great views of the harbor

I used to go there in the 80s. Really nice little club, not snooty at all. Great owners, and a gorgeous 9-hole golf course.

Beautiful setting

We recently attended at wedding at the yacht club. The club overlooks the beach and offers some beautiful views of the golf course. We really enjoyed sitting on the deck for dinner. The only thing we didn't like was that the dance floor was in a separate room from the dining area. We also visited the golf course during the day. The food food at the clubhouse was grilled fresh. It was a delicious lunch and a great value for the money.
