This ruin gets its name from the paintings on the canyon walls that are probably antelope. You need to take one of the tours into the canyon to see it properly. There are many artworks on the canyon walls.

The pictographs were done in the 1800's and are very lovely. There is also a circular plaza that was built in the 1300's that is interesting to see.

It was worth our 4 hour tour just to see the petroglyphs at this location. Absolutely amazing that these have survived for generations. Take advantage of all the Canyon Floor has to offer.

Named for the panel of rock paintings which include stunning late-period, full-color depictions antelope, this site alone is worth a half-day tour of Cyn de Chelly.

Do take a tour into the canyon to see these ruins. You will be able to see more details than you can from the overlook.
