Not as busy as other monuments around , but a truly amazing sight to see , didn't get to Spider Rock because of rain , but the escorted trip around the valley was excellent ! Don't miss it if you are travelling near

The rim roads are very driveable. You have to have a guide to tour the canyon floor. The only public access to the canyon is the White House Trail

As for the roads, we have had no trouble getting into Chinle, or out. That being said, the roads and trails INSIDE the Canyon are very rough, not improved, BUT you cannot go in there on your own, you MUST have a Navajo... More
