Hi there! I work in wildlife and eco-tourism...so I understand the nature of the wild. However, I see some poor reviews last week from people disappointed in the amount of bio-luminosity! Is late September realistically too late to get an awesome experience?? Like many, we will drive a long ways and have dreamt of this for a long time. If it's best to wait till next summer we will! Please give me any pointers to maximize the experience....full moon, later in the eve, weekdays etc....we are thinking of signing up for the 3 hour combo paddle. Also, can we request a certain guide based on TA feedback?? Having a great guide can make all the difference as far as Im concerned.....looking forward to your response!
Mid summer is the best time for the bioluminescence (from what I understand). I would recommend talking directly with A Day Away. We booked a tour as my daughter was in the area and we have gone on two tours with “A Day Away”- we have found them to be professional and knowledgeable. We will contact them to find out the best time to see the jellies this winter. You don’t want a full moon...but again I would recommend you call them to try to maximize success.
