Overall, the room was fun and flowed logically. It probably deserved more than 3 stars, but I just can't give it anything higher when nearly every puzzle / task was a number lock, and they charged higher than what I'm used to for an escape room. In all fairness, we're not from San Diego, so maybe that's the going rate for escape rooms here, but compared to what we've paid everywhere else we've been, the price drove my rating down a star.

The game itself was challenging, as it should be, but we weren't really amped up by the staff. In previous experiences at other escape rooms the staff really tries to scare you and get you motivated to escape the room. This worker was very sweet but it would've been more exciting to get everyone pumped up and not just tell a 1 minute monotone story about how a mobster is coming and we need to escape the speak easy fast. The worker also walked in the room in the middle of us trying to escape so it really was not convincing at all.

I've been to a handful of other escape rooms before this. We did the Diner room on a Saturday afternoon as a group of 4. Everyone in our group had done at least one escape room prior to going to this one. We all agreed that it was challenging but super fun. The decor perfectly matched the theme. The puzzles were complex and so creative. We made it out with just a few minutes to spare. Highly recommend!

My family and I have done a handful of escape rooms, but this place was definitely one of our top experiences. The attention to detail in The Diner room was immaculate and the storyline was great. Even with COVID, we felt extremely safe at all times. Parking was super easy to find and the staff was so friendly. Highly recommend this place- we’ll definitely be making another visit!

The three rooms were well set up - and all three rooms were challenging! My only one issue is that it was combination lock-heavy. I like a good combo lock challenge, but I like having to do other things rather that just locks. But it had a great story and a great set up.

Our family of 5 (kids 8, 10, 12) loves escape rooms. Diner and Chinatown here were some of our all time favorites. Clever puzzles, fun themes and decor. Some really unique implementations to a few of the puzzles that were unexpected and put a smile on everybody's face. We did Chinatown the first time and then brought my brother and sister in law with us for their first escape room experience with Chinatown. We have done shinier, more technological rooms, but these are just really fun, well balanced, really well planned rooms. Looking forward to trying their other two rooms.

I went to Quicksand with a couple of friends. We were greeted by 2 friendly staff members. Shea was our game master and did a great job showing us the intro video and prepping us for game play. While playing the game, she was always there to help us if we had the right clue, but we were not getting the right outcome ;) We made it through the whole escape room just in time! We were playing Speakeasy and it was a lot of fun! So far I have done Chinatown and Speakeasy and enjoyed them both! I will definitely be back to try the other 2 rooms!

Escaped with 19 seconds to spare! We did Family Cabin and loved all the details of 90s nostalgia in the cabin set up. The puzzles and storyline were super fun. Great way to spend time with a small group. We’ll definitely be back to try the other rooms!

We did the Diner with just two of us. We are experienced escape room fans and this was one of our favorites. First of all, Jacob our game master was great. We felt welcomed, he was attentive, helped us out when we asked— even walked us through some of the things we missed when we didn’t get out. I’m usually so disappointed when we don’t get out (this was failure 8 out of 44 rooms) but this room is so fun that I was still happy we did it. That is rare for me. Usually I’m irritated! Lol! There is really so much to do for 2 people that it is tough. I recommend more. There are some really fun clues that fit the diner theme- the props are creative. This was our favorite room of the 3 we did in San Diego so far. I hope we make it back soon to do another one at quicksand. This place is great!

This was my 10th escape room and I loved it! Very clean, and the clues made a lot of sense—we did the Diner and the room and story was so cute. Anyway, 10/10 loved it v cool vibes. Greg was our game host and he was chill and passionate.
