We had a great time with Albert on our Tijuana Street Food Tour on a Sunday evening (4:30-7:30pm). Albert was a great communicator emailing to confirm, telling what we would see, where & when to meet him, to bring water and passports, and to say thank you after the trip.

Walking across the border with Albert was easy and quick. There was plenty of food to eat and a wide variety. Watching some of it be made in front of us in small carts or stores was great. We also went to a bakery that had many beautiful baked goods & priced inexpensively.

We visited the Mercado Hidalgo market. It was Sunday evening, so many vendors were packing up But but walked through and see fruit, spices, nuts, candy, pinatas, cheeses, etc. If you want more time to explore the markets, select the earlier tours.
Bring water, passports, and a bag to carry any goodies you buy. Wear good walking shoes as the walking part of the tour is easy but you need to watch your footing on the sidewalks. Also, use restroom before visit. Albert found a casino for us to go into though our kiddo had to wait outside with Albert. Something to think about if you go with kids.

Albert provided some information about Tijuana as we walked. If you want to know more about the area, culture, history, food, I suggest a guide book or a different type of tour. We recommend this tour if you are in the area, like street food, & want something different than food from sit down restaurants. Albert is a kind & patient guide.

My friend and I had a great time on the Tijuana Street Food Tour with Albert, despite the fact that it was raining buckets most of the time! We would never have experienced Tijuana in such an authentic way without a knowledgeable and passionate guide like Albert. The food was delicious and we walked at least 5 miles which helped make room for the warm churros at the end.

If you want an adventure that is close to San Diego but also a world away, if you're up for a bit of unpredictability and chaos on the streets of a rambling city, and if you love good fish tacos of all varieties, this is the tour for you!

Thank you so much for your kind words and for the wonderful memory. To stand in that street corner under the awning while we enjoyed piping hot carne asada tacos with freshly handmade tortillas as it poured, was quite the moment in time. So grateful to enjoy this daytrip with you full of food, culture, and adventure!

We enjoyed our tour to Tijuana with Albert very much! He knows the city, tells interesting stories, he was very helpful during our street shopping and he is a real foodie! We liked Cesar‘s restaurant: food and atmosphere. Wild Foodie Tours service helped us feel the spirit, the flavors and tastes of Tijuana safely.
We highly recommend Wild Foodie Tours! Thank you, Albert!

Albert was an amazing and informative guide! Easy and clear communication the whole way through from beginning to end. My partner and I were nervous about going into TJ by ourselves for the first time. We decided to chose Wild Foodie Tours due to the great praise and positive reviews. It was an amazing time walking around TJ with Albert as our guide. The food was incredible and we felt safe the entire time. Albert has a passion for travel, food, and for Mexico and it's apparent in the way he leads the tours. I highly recommend taking a tour with him especially if you're a little apprehensive going into TJ on your own for the first time or at all. I cannot wait to take a tour with Wild Foodie Tours again.

We had a great time sampling delicious street food in Tijuana with Albert. The trip was well organized, and it was easy and safe crossing into Mexico and walking around Tijuana. It only took 5-10 minutes to cross into Mexico and about 30 minutes to cross back into the U.S. This was my first time in Tijuana and I really enjoyed exploring the city .

My wife and I really enjoyed the Caesar's Restaurant and Downtown Tijuana tour. We saw the good reviews here and decided to give it a shot. Albert is very personable and very knowledgeable about food and Tijuana.

We met at the border on the US side, and he walked us across. The tour included shopping for souvenirs, but the highlight is obviously Caesar's restaurant. The food was delicious, the ambiance/décor was stunning. And their world-famous tableside Caesar salad was even better than we expected. Definitely a fun evening of fine dining.

We live in SD, but we just don't get to TJ. It's nice going with a tour guide who knows what he's doing. We'll looking forward to trying the TJ Street Food Tour next time!

My wife and I recently joined a couple friends on Wild Foodie’s excellent tour and [generous] sampling of dim sum in San Diego. If you like dim sum or are just curious, this is a MUST-DO. What a feast for the senses! Albert is a topnotch guide, full of enthusiasm and knowledge that he loves to share. He’s patient and eager and goes at just the right pace. After a delightful luncheon of varied dim sum, we then enjoyed a pleasant, easy walk around the area, with discussions and explanations of the local businesses, groceries, and restaurants all waiting for local residents and savvy travelers alike. This tour is a jewel; it’s packed with tidbits of info that anyone will appreciate, and participants come away with an understanding of dim sum and a bit of its history. Can’t wait to try some other Wild Foodie tours in Tijuana and elsewhere. Steve P.

We did the Tijuana Street Food Tour and had a blast! Albert gave us a great experience with a stroll through a large open air market, a stop at a fruit stand, a stop at a fresh juice bar (amazing strawberry and banana drinks!), followed by marlin tacos, fresh ceviche, carne asada tacos and baja style fish tacos... and then amazing churros! The food was fabulous! Very nice selection and variety from places that would have been otherwise difficult to find. We felt safe and comfortable the entire time. Highly recommended tour!

Had a great time w/ Albert on the TJ Street Food tour. All of the food was great and the tour was well organized. Great communication from Albert beforehand about what to expect and details about parking at the border. Brought my two teenagers with me and they had a blast. Can't wait to try some of the other Wild Foodie tours. Highly recommend!

I booked this tour well in advance of my trip to San Diego, which gave Albert and I a chance to find the right fit for me- I was very appreciative of this, because I ended up doing a solo tour with Albert. The tour was a good length, but do wear good walking shoes because you will cover a bit of ground! I felt like Albert took me through busy, touristy parts of town as well as shadier, run-down parts AND the red light district, and I never felt unsafe. We toured an open-air market that deserved half a day's exploration, a spotless and fresh-smelling fish market, an exquisite cathedral followed by an equally exquisite Mexican bakery. And the food! Tacos al pastore, a smoked halibut grilled taquito, a rich fish taco followed by a very welcome agua de fresca (I recommend the horchata!), a live clam plucked from a slightly shifting pile topped with fresh ingredients and eaten moments after opening, and a handful of churros that I swore I could never finish... but did! This only thing I was left wanting was one of those cups filled with fruit and chiles and salt and lime! Albert's enthusiasm is refreshing, and his tour is well worth every penny.
