They were cool. Affordable rates, but they still do paper waivers. Equipment is clean, new and good looking. And their staff is friendly. They are good on the times too so if you come back 5 minutes after due they aren't charging an arm and a leg.

It was my son’s first time to go kayaking and it was the smoothest process ever. Check in was fast and they gave us a life vest perfect for my 6 year old.

Go early to avoid the crowd. Water is usually more calm in the morning too.

Thank you Paradise Point for making our staycation so relaxing!

This experience was one for the books! Rented one wave runner for three people, and it was a show for the people on the bay, kept falling off, luckily we rented it for 2 hours a kind Man I forgot his name but I guess they call him grumpy, I don’t know why, but this man is the gas man for this company and he was so kind to give one of our riders a ride back to the rental office because we kept falling off. He was super nice and went the extra mile literally without being asked ! Great dude. Also we rented two wave runners the following day because we enjoyed it so much. Fast, fun, super easy to
Rent, the process couldn’t have been any smoother the people couldn’t have been any nicer ! The bay is nice and large for boating and people respect each other. Action sports your doing it right ! Change grumpy’s name, because he’s awesome ! He was very kind! Along with all of those that worked on August 23rd and 24th,2020. THANKS YOU GUYS !

Beware, look elsewhere to rent a boat. We rented the 20' Hurricane for 4 hours on the bay and the overall experience was awful. The boat has several problems and limited amenities that I will detail here:
1) The steering was so tight it was almost impossible to turn the wheel. It took both hands and significant force to move the motor. This made for slight corrections in turning impossible. It also raised my concern because I didn't feel I could maneuver the boat quickly if it needed to be. Lack of maintenance and potentially worn out steering components is most likely the cause.
2) The boat was pathetically slow. The boat is advertised to carry 10 adults. Our group had 6 adults and 2 teenagers evenly dispersed in the front and rear. Full throttle and the boat couldn't even get up on plane. The more throttle you gave it, the more noise it made and the more water it plowed and that was about it. Adjusting the trim didn't help either. With a 100+ horsepower outboard, there should be no issue with this boat going 25+ knots. We were lucky to do 5-7 knots and with the motor being so loud above 1/2 throttle, we ended up idling most of the day and getting tossed around by all the wakes.
3) Everything on the boat is disabled. We were not told this before hand, but the radio, bilge pump, and all other electronics are disabled. Again, having something like the bilge pump disabled is a safety issue and gives the driver no ability to prevent sinking if they were to take on water. They also told us when we got back to the dock that they would have loaned us a speaker. Why isn't that offered or supplied to the renters before they board the boat?
4) The overall condition of the boat is rough. The seats are torn, there are cracks in the hull above the waterline, and only the fuel gauge and tach worked on the dash.
3) Upon raising my concerns with the staff, they looked perplexed and annoyed that we didn't have a good time. They implied we were seeking a partial refund (which I thought was fair), and thats when the customer service went down the drain. One guy had to call another guy, then that guy wasn't authorized to provide a refund, so they called the 'owner' who didn't answer his phone. They said that the owner would get in touch within a day. They also warned me that the owner is not inclined to provide any refund. I am still waiting for a call 3 days later. Nice. I guess I know the answer to getting a partial refund.
All of this said, I am not pleased with the boat or the customer experience. Would not recommend renting vessels from this company.

We've stayed at the Catamaran for over 30 years and even got married there in 2019. We love the resort even though it is aging. The location is spectacular and the amenities are generally perfect for Mission Bay and the surrounding beach areas. Unfortunately, I believe they are using the pandemic to cut costs which is disappointing. They are still charging full resort rates but have cancelled all house keeping services. You can request towels or toiletries to be dropped off at your door but they don't clean, empty trash or change sheets unless you stay over 5 days. The claim is protection for the workers and the guests but. none of the restaurant or front desk staff were wearing masks nor offering sanitizer. No social distancing or other suggestions that the pandemic is of concern (we are all vaccinated so that is not my gripe) so the cutting of services appears to be just a more grab. No reducing in price to match the reduction in service level which is what disappointed me. I'm certain they will return to their usual level of service in the future but if you are traveling with children or expect any level of housekeeping, best to wait until they catch up.

We became aware of the Solar Fun Cat from a segment on KUSI NEWS, First I have to say that your employee that helped us that day went out of his to make sure we had a wonderful time. There was a mix up on our reservation and he went beyond the call of duty to fix it, The sail was very relaxing and calming. The Fun Cat only goes up to 5 mph and it controlled by a push down switch which so your always pushing down on the switch. The switches also control the steering can be tricky. All and all it was a fun two hours on the water

We had a Reservation for 2 Electric Bikes at Paradise Point. When we showed up, they said they only had 1 Electric Bike and would have to contact a Manger. The Manager said he would bring another bike, but we would have to wait over a half hour. Once he arrived we were able to begin, but because of their closing time, we could not use the bikes for the full amount of time we reserved them for. No compensation, just a half hearted apology. While the ride around Mission Bay was very nice, the Electric Bikes were pretty "gutless" even in the highest assist mode. We rented the Electric Bikes to help us with the hills and these bikes did very little in that assistance. They worked fine on level ground and were ok on smaller hills. I would double check your reservation with them the day before, and don't expect too much in the way of Customer Service.

GREAT EXPERIENCE!! This was such a fun experience! We rented a "Fun Cat", which is a large Lounge chair for only 2 people. It has a small motor in order to maneuver the Fun Cat on the bay. Only 2 buttons and very easy to use. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to try something different. Other people on the water were asking us where we rented the Fun Cat b/c they had never seen anything like it!
We will definitely try this again!!

Booking online was simple and the follow up call completely eased our minds as first timers. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly and gave us a quick effective lesson and set us off to sea (with some parameters for safety of course)! We saw a pod of dolphins and several sea lions, swam near some beautiful sailboats and had an amazing time! Tips: bring a waterproof speaker for your favorite tunes and layer up so you can stay comfortable/dry off. Lastly, it can get choppy in some places but we brought gin gins and pepto and we’re just fine!2 hours was perfect for our first adventure! With regards to COVID-19: we felt great being outside, safely away from other beach-goers. Also, the boat looked very clean and we brought some sanitizer wipes for our own peace of mind.Thank you!!! We will be back!
