I live in PA near the New Jersey Shore which is famous for its salt water taffy. The taffy at Cousin's is much better by far! I enjoyed it so much that after I returned home and finished what I purchased, I called and ordered more to be shipped home. It arrived in 2 days. Shipping for 2 pounds of taffy was expensive ($15) but the taffy is so good that it is worth it. Be sure to stop by and watch them make the taffy when in Old Town, San Diego.

yes, it is pricy. But you get what you pay for, and they make the taffy right there in the store. It is so fresh and soft. There are also many other candy items to choose from, and of course some amazing fudge. Where else are you going to find anything with huckleberry in it?

We love this place and stop in whenever we visit old town. Is it expensive? Yes. Is the taffy and fudge the best ever? Yes. Is it worth it. YES! Most things are sold by weight. Just fill up your bag. This is not the time to choose the old “penny candies”. Pick the home made taffy. It is fantastic. We love the cinnamon, huckleberry, and watermelon the best. The chocolate (milk and dark) honeycomb also rock. The fudges are fantastic. It is worth the visit, and price.

Fun little shop with a variety of homemade fudge & chocolates, as well as prepackaged old time classic candies.

Unlike the other review I did not find it that bad . It was a normal candy store that does have candies that are hard to find . It wasn't bad tasting at all . They had a good selection of sugar free candy and fudge . Only down fall is that it is pricy but it's a tourist location and that is expected . That staff was friendly and helpful. No complaints here

The salt water taffy found at this candy store is melt in your mouth delicious! We were thrilled to come upon this candy shop while strolling through Old Town in San Diego. So much to choose from that it's hard to decide. You'll want one of everything.

So I notice a lot of people like the taffy here, and it is great, but I wouldn’t sleep on the chocolates. The sea salt caramel chocolates are amazing, They use just the right amount of chocolate AND salt to bring out the nice flavor of the thick caramel beneath it....I could eat a dozen of them.
