We arrived this time on a cruise (Princess cruise line) and enjoyed taking a walk from the Maritime History Boat Area to Seaport Village to the Hyatt Regency. We enjoyed the views. We also took a bay cruise, had dinner, explored the stores, and enjoyed the views from the bar on top of the Hyatt Regency.

From the Hilton to the south near the Navy ships all the way past Seaport Village, the Midway, several parks and statues and Star of India to the Maritime Museum this is a busy walk on holidays and weekends but a great place to walk, run or bike.
Like all large cities there were several homeless people, 2 that were rolling / wrestling / fighting on the ground as hundreds of people walk by! Never saw security or police patrolling area.

It is a nice walk but on my walk a homeless man was yelling at people passing by him. Really liked the fresh seafood offered on the dock just north of Seaport Village. The seafood is sold off the boats as they arrive. Can’t get fresher than that.

Made this stroll several times during our visit. Beautiful views, lots of nearby things to do, and just a nice experience.

What a delight! This waterfront walk on flat sidewalks showcases the harbor of San Diego. Starting at the Maritime Museum that's opposite the city building, you can stroll past the cruise boat ports, the Midway Museum (naval), Tuna Harbor (fishing culture), Seaport Village (entertainment, food, & shopping) to the hotel area adjacent to the convention center. Or you can stop along the way to enjoy the sights, sounds, and laid back culture of San Diego.

It is a nice walk, flat and easy. Martin Luther King, Jr quotes are common along the promenade in front of the Convention Center. It is a pretty walk from the Gaslamp District to Little Italy.

This is a very nice place to take a stroll in San Diego and particularly on a sunny day. It is near all of the major attractions.

Parking is available at Midway Museum, Tuna Harbor Park and other areas nearby. Expect to spend the day if you see all the sites. Some are free and some have costs involved. Food is nearby or have picnic in Tuna Harbor Park.

Lots of shops at Seaport Village, have fun full of history for all.

A lovely place to stroll and see amongst others, The Star of India, which has circumvented the world many hundreds of thousand times. There are also other exhibits, submarines, another galleon and of course the Midway. A really nice stroll to take it all in.

This is pretty much a full-day activity if you visit some exhibits (an aircraft carrier, a submarine, and a harbor tour) and want to walk the length of the waterfront.

You can not spend a dime and still enjoy yourself with a nice long walk and seeing the sites of the harbor on one side and the city skyline on the other. Or, you can see some exhibits, have lunch, and shop for some local crafts. Kids in strollers seem to do fine, toddlers and preschoolers may be less enthusiastic.

We've always found parking, but this may be a challenge during busy days and times.

The highlight for us was the aircraft carrier, Midway. I recommend this.
