What an amazing location for our military heroes. Fort Rosecrns Cemetery is located on top of Point Loma which provides spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean and San Diego. This is the ultimate tribute to our veterans. The perfectly lined headstones, the green grass and trees give it a serene feeling. Whether you stop or not give a moment of... More

A moment to reflect on our nations history. A time to remember the men and women who gave there lives protecting our freedoms we sometimes take for granted.

I am biased, as this is where my father and mother are buried. My dad served in WWII and Korea, and was always so proud of the Corps. I just am thankful that such a beautiful and historic resting place exists for those of our loved ones who served honorably. God bless them all.

My 3rd trip here and each time it is incredible. I have never served our country but to see this leaves me in awe. Great view of ocean and San diego sky line. Amazing how each tombstone is so in line. You can spend 5 minutes or get lost looking at all the names.

It is very lovely setting, perfect for our veterans. My father is buried there. Point Loma is where the cemetery is located and the old light house is just beyond the cemetery.

Fort Rosecrans is a wonderful place to visit to get a remote feel for those who paid the ultimate price. Row upon row of simple military stones to commemorate these brave men and women who served our country.

The beautiful grounds of the Fort Rosecrans Cemetery is a must see. You will drive through it on your way to Point Loma. There are several entrances to drive through, or stop and pay respects. There are is no fee but a high degree of expectation to be respectful.

A beautiful and serene resting place. My father-in-law was buried there several years ago with the pomp of a proper military burial. The view is magnificent, over looking the Pacific and the Bay.
