A very serene and beautiful place to spend time remembering loved ones or paying tribute to those who served our country with honor. Spectacular views of San Diego Bay and the open ocean. Take time to read some of the headstones and pay tribute.

On the way to Point Loma. This place is the final resting place for some of our heroes. Very quite and serene. Well worth the stop!

My wife and I had planned on going out to the Cabrillo National Monument and we saw this military cemetery along the way and decided to stop and walk around. We were immediately pulled in by the place; it's rows of white headstones, the green rolling hills of grass, the windswept trees and the awesome views of the Pacific ocean... More

In among the graves of family members and veterans who never were in combat are those of men and women who died bravely in wartime. The contrast between the majesty and serenity of this site and the circumstances of their deaths give pause for reflection to pacifists as well as would be warriors. When juxtaposed with a visit to Point... More

We did even know about this place until we passed it on our way to Cabrillo. It is a beautiful veteran cemetery with gorgeous coastal views. There are roads winding through various parts of the cemetery so you don't even need to get out of the car if you don't want to. Definitely take the time to drive through if... More

One of the most beautiful National Cemeteries anywhere. The sheer numbers quantify the price of freedom. Worth a stop to pay your respects and give thanks to those that served.

My husband and I went out to Fort Rosecrans to visit our brother's grave. It was solemn and deeply moving, but it is also such an amazingly beautiful location that even if you knew no one who is resting there, it is worth the visit. Perched high above San Diego Bay in Pt Loma, it is a great place to... More

This is one of the most beautiful National Cemeteries in the US. The setting is unsurpassed just about anywhere. I've been to Arlington and the Normandy Beach cemeteries and this is up with them.
