These kind of cemeteries make me always so sad. Imagining all these brave people who served this country and gave their lives. Besides, the grounds are well maintained and you have good view of the San Diego skyline.

Pretty morbid but what a great view of San Diego and the bay. Cabrillo Monument is just up the road.

Beautiful well maintained cemetery for those who served our country to be laid to rest. Amazing views of everything down below. Very emotional looking at all of the military plaques. So glad we decided to visit.

If you want to stand in awe of the sacrifices mafde by others, this is the place, every tombstone meticulously kept up and in a line, makes you reflect on those that gave so others may enjoy the freedoms that TOO MANY PEOPLE TODAY TAKE FOR GRANTED. GO HERE AND REFLECT ON WHAT YOU HAVE because of the selfless acts... More

being a Marine Corps veteran, i do my best to visit and pay my respects to those that have paid the ultimate price. It is something we all should do once if not often.

PLEASE if you bring children here, remember this is a somber place, not a place for them to run around chasing each other!!!!!! We were so disappointed to see a... More

We go to Rosecrans every year to honor those who paid the ultimate sacrifice. Our Son's cub scouts den places flags for every Memorial day and salute each grave. A beautiful view and great secluded location.

While cemeteries are not everyone's idea of a tourist spot, the Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery is a beautiful setting for remembering our military veterans who have passed, and literally thank them for serving our country. There are conical "vases" in which to leave flowers...water is located fairly close to all markers if you are visiting friends' or family markers and... More
