Overview

San Diego whale watching at its finest. With a maximum of six passengers, everyone gets a front row seat. Our fast expedition style boat gets you out to the whales before the crowds arrive, and we can stay longer. Winter whale watching from December through April we see the great migration of the Pacific Gray whales. Over 20,000 of these beautiful animals swim past our coast each winter, on their way to Mexico & then back up to their summer feeding grounds in Alaska. Spring and Summer bring the magnificent Blue Whales to our waters. These are the largest of the whales, and are truly a wonder to see! Fin whales and Humpbacks are also seen as well as our ever friendly dolphins. This is your charter, your way!

So happy we chose the small boat version of this experience - there were just 3 of us plus Captain Christine, and being down close to the water was awesome. Just cruising across the water was relaxing and views of the shoreline were so pretty....More

We took a three hour tour this week to see the dolphins and grey whales and it was amazing. Our Captain, Lisa LaPointe, has years of experience guiding, which gives several advantages- she can find the whales and dolphins with uncanny ability, she’s very knowledgeable...More

We have been whale watching before on two mid-sized boats and one large boat. This was our first trip on an inflatable. There were three of us, plus a mom and daughter, and Captain Lisa. What a great size to maneuver the water looking for...More

We saw 5 groups of gray whales, only 4 passengers (6 max)- a great experience and great captain. To protect the whales, the boats stay more than a hundred yards behind the migration.

Highly recommend. Bring extra layers (winter hat, gloves, extra jacket, thick socks and pants). Much more intimate experience than one of those over-packed huge boats. We only had a family of 3, my daughter and me, and the boat captain on our tour. Our captain...More

First off, the tour company has not control over where the whales are. And no matter how good a tour company is, if the whales aren't in the area you will not see one. So negging the tour company for not seeing whales seems dumb....More
