Pretty location and some decent hiking, put like in most areas of San Diego near the ocean they never have enough parking so you are almost always waiting for someone to leave.

Although I didn't go at sunset, the view in the mid-afternoon was still quite breathtaking. There's a little pathway going down marked by a warning sign that you can take to get close to the waves. You can watch the surfers from here as well as take some great photos. There is also a beach here, but it's quite tiny,... More

I go here every time I'm in San Diego. The view of the ocean is awesome. I love climbing down on the rocks to enjoy the sea spray. Sunsets are magical here.

A friend recommended tis as THE place to see a sunset. It is good but most beaches have some cliffs near and all are good for sunsets. Parked about an hour before sunset and walked around. This is about a mile long stretch across from a residential neighborhood, but there are several parking lots and on the street parking. Walk... More

We love walking the cliffs in San Diego and this is the perfect place. The ocean waves crash below, the surfers are fun to watch and the walk along the bay is great fun. Unfortunately, the cliffs are slowly falling away into the ocean and in some spots, you are walking in the street. But this walk is not to... More

If around the area, you need to stop here and just stand or sit to enjoy the sunset. It is a quiet place that many locals go and just watch the sunset. Lots of really cool cliff rocks and not hard to navigate as they are mostly flat.

The SUNSET CLIFFS, is located in a wealthy neighborhood. That being said, "For me, it's best enjoyed right before and during sunset." There is no real beach. The surfers go to the far end and have to climb down to the water. You will only spend a few (15) minutes there.

Found this by chance killing time before a flight. Sun, wildlife and surfers kept us entertained while we enjoyed an impromptu picnic
