It is a lovely place to watch the sunset. Not too many people but not desolate either. If you are concerned about parking, Uber was very reliable here. Not really any traffic, especially if you wait and fully enjoy twilight.

Ok, so I don't surf myself. But at Sunset Cliffs it can be a great spectator sport. There is a pretty consistent break there, but even when there isn't, the cliffs, ocean, homes and gardens are enjoyable. And frequently I will see a surfer looking longingly out to see either recalling waves he's caught before or imagining his next ride... More

Just came back from a beautiful morning spent on the cliffs. The views are amazing and we had no problem finding a place to park. The little surf town of Ocean Beach is similar to Venice beach in LA. We made the trip from Oceanside and we're glad we did

Assuming you can find a place to leave your car, bring a blanket, a jacket, and some snacks for a very romantic sunset picnic. This is a popular spot with many access points along Sunset Cliffs Blvd.

I go here almost weekly to reset myself - The views are breathtaking, the ocean is calming, the cliffs are beautiful, and the sunset puts life in perspective. I highly recommend this for everyone.

We arrived at the cliffs about 10 minutes before the sunset , it was very crowded but we found a spot to park the car. Lots of people watching patiently for the sun to set. TIP :Do not leave until is dark almost everybody left after the sun was down and missed the most amazing colors afterward, be patient and... More

Of course for the sunset. The angle over the open water makes a long reflection that helps to accent the sunset.
