The sunset views are awesome. We arrived an about an hour before sunset, just to allow ample time to park and find our spot. The entire stretch of beach and roadside was well kept and maintained. There was special attention to safety, both along the cliffs and street. Again the sunset views are awesome, it is a must see if... More

Well worth going to see and spend some time at. We went here twice and really enjoyed ourselves. WATCH out though for the crumbling cliffs.

They are called Sunset Cliffs for a reason. These cliffs are the best spot to watch sunset in San Diego. You can also surf or go cliff jumping.

While there isn't a distinct trail to hike this is a great spot to check out. There is large flat spot that turns into an impromptu dog park and several spots to scramble down to the water. Definitely worth checking out!

First time shooting in one of Sunset Cliffs secret caves & boy, my image turns out to be a stunner! Will definitely come back & explore the other caves.

While on vacation I have stopped here several times. Sunsets can be viewed from all over along the cliffs. Also it's fun but a little challenging to go down the stairs to the rocks below but it's worth it :). Can be breezy so I would bring a light jacket!

If you are in San Diego, you have to catch that west coast sunset and this is the best place for it. It's nothing fancy, but you do get the best sunset view here. Get there early to find a good parking spot; it gets a bit crowded closer to the sunset.

Sunset Cliffs stretches about 3 1/2 miles, from the south end of Ocean Beach along the west side of Point Loma to the Navy's land near the end of the Point. About 80 acres of it is a natural preserve, with (mainly) sage brush vegetation and the stunning formations of the 35 - 40 foot high cliffs. Also great views... More

This is a great place to walk (or sit) along the cliffs. There are benches to sit on to eat a lunch/snack if you don't want to sit on the dirt or in your car. Waves crash on the rocks, making this a lovely place to destress, meditate.
