This is great improv comedy via games (not pre-rehearsed sketches). They are drawing on audience suggestions and participation. Lots of fun!

The reviews for NCT San Diego here on Tripadvisor were great, and NCT I believe is associated with the Comedysportz chain which here in our hometown of Milwaukee has been rock solid wonderful the 3 times we've gone. So we had high hopes for NCT San Diego that it unfortunately did not live up to at all. One problem was... More

Enjoyed some good laughs with 5 or 6 other friends. Priced well, and avoided trashy jokes. This thing thrives on audience participation. I wouldn't travel internationally to go here, but for a local girl, it's worth the night out! There are great places to eat within walking distance. Plan for an extra 10-20 minutes to find parking and walk.

I am so glad we came to the show! It was so funny. Lots of talent here. Our group threw out some crazy and inappropriate suggestions and the teams took them all on. My favorite game was Deaf Leprechaun. It was its debut. Wish the Ref /Gary would add it to the bucket. We will be back next trip and... More

I'm not usually a comedy club type of gal, but the National Comedy Theatre was a pleasant surprise. The improve type comedy was well done and family friendly. For about the price of a movie ticket, you can see a one of a kind show! Recommend this for all!

My spouse and I wanted to do something that would be different on New Year's Eve and this seemed like an interesting event. As advertised there was a pre-show buffet and the food was very tasty but limited. We should have had dinner at about 5:00 pm and then would have enjoyed the buffet more. Considering that this is a... More

I took my 17-year-old son here after a co-worker recommended it. It was a lot of fun to watch the troupe improvise their way through a variety of games. I bought the tickets to the Sunday show with my son in mind, but I found I was laughing he loudest in the room. Great for all ages! We did have... More

All of the show's dialogue and antics are made up on the fly by the performers. It's impressive how creative and quick they are. There is a 10-minute intermission with concessions available. The shows are open-seating, and there isn't a bad seat in the house. It's best to make reservations online in advance - we attended the 7:30 PM show... More

Nice, but... I walked about 1.8 miles to get to the show, which may have colored my impression... I was mildly amused, the guy behind me thought it was the funniest stuff he had ever heard... Most I think agreed with me... The price is cheap enough, but I think I'll stick with a routine that someone has put some... More

So much fun. The NCT is in a small theater near the Shakespeare Pub, so it may be tough to find for newbies, but it's worth the trek. The teams are talented, and the games are fun. The seating is limited, so you always feel like you're part of the show, engaged, and it's a nice communal experience sharing laughter... More
