Smart boat choices for stability, durability and quick simple rigging. Well maintained gear. Eagerly supportive Dockmasters - ready to tighten a rudder nut if need be and assist down and up the ramp, plus they offer help with rigging. Quick rental process, once you've taken a competence instilling class or private lesson, which are of critical importance in the safety and enjoyment for everyone on the water, and the people that care about you, and your wallet.

Amazing family adventure to try water skiing, wake boarding, wake surfing, and tubing. Our instructor Sophie Orlando (Mission Bay Aquatic Center in San Diego) was upbeat, encouraging, and helpful! She gave understandable advice to both younger and older individuals while maintaining a safe environment. If you want to have some fun while trying something knew, this is the place for you!

For my last birthday, my daughter got me a six-visit package for the RS Quest. I had not sailed in a long time, and she thought it would be a nice gift. She's also been upset with me for years, asking, "How come you lived on a boat and never taught me to sail?"

Last Saturday I used my first session and Kymberlie got her first lesson. Check in desk folks were helpful and we were almost on our way. Thanks to Paul Lang for the RS Quest Rigging video. I'd watched the video a few times. Isabel had shown me how to do it during my check-out sail, but that was way back in October.

We did have a bit of a rudder problem. The tiller would not snap down to lock. Kelsey, your dockmaster, swapped out the rudder and we were on our way.

Thanks for a perfect sail. We didn't get too wet, and there wasn't a lot of yelling. (Kymberlie had some goals for the day.)

We were so satisfied with our experience we subsequently have plans to return 3 more times during the summer! The staff are friendly, helpful, and experienced. The equipment is in great shape and seems to be regularly scrutinized for safety and any damage.

My friends and I are avid swimmers they required us to have a life jacket or Uninflated fanny pack with lifejacket. It was pretty lame. I feel like it was also pretty expensive and one thing I would’ve really liked on the equipment was for it to strap to your feet just in case for some reason you fell versus having to try to get back to shore to contact the company to let them know you have fallen off and the board is out floating because you weren’t able to get it yourself

Went with a friend and it was great. The staff were super nice and helpful. Prices aren’t too bad especially if you are a UCSD and SDSU student. You get to paddle for 2.5 hours for $21 I believe. There are limits to where you can paddle but the area is pretty big and it’s fun to make rest stops at the various beaches. A lot of people are in the area that you can ask for the time from and they are all super nice about it too. Definitely recommend to experience paddle boarding in SD especially since the bay is more calm than the ocean and you are required to wear a life jacket so it’s good for those who are scared of the water.

Loved this place, the views this bay is beautiful, waters clean and calm, great equipment and personnel, only complaint the girls at the front desk are rude and not friendly at all. Overall experience was great cant wait to go back.

Two day course over a beautiful weekend, ending with going into the Pacific. Had a very relaxed instructor who assured us we would not sink the boat - and we didn't. Great location.

Not exactly a sexy title, but paramount for a teaching and rental facility.
Backed by local universities this facility has knowledgeable, caring and friendly staff. Whether you are entrusting your 10 year to them at one of the summer water camps, or just fancy a bit SUP yoga or sailing instruction, they will teach you correctly and ensure you are comfortable in the water discovering new skills.
I have rented their sea kayaks probably 400 times over the past 15 years. Friendly staff come and go but all show a sense of professionalism and good training which is the hallmark of MBAC.
