I had a wonderful time. The staff made sure I understood how to kayak and the safety rules, they made sure everything was clean for me and above all safety and their guests having a good time was important to them. I’ll be back again.

Smart boat choices for stability, durability and quick simple rigging. Well maintained gear. Eagerly supportive Dockmasters - ready to tighten a rudder nut if need be and assist down and up the ramp, plus they offer help with rigging. Quick rental process, once you've taken a competence instilling class or private lesson, which are of critical importance in the safety and enjoyment for everyone on the water, and the people that care about you, and your wallet.

Met a few new friends and someone suggested kayaking. Parking wasn’t the easiest and I’m glad I wasn’t the one doing the parallel parking! My friend parked that little sedan like a racecar driver who just chugged a gallon of coffee. From the parking lot we wandered in to a roomy entrance with 2 girls at the desk ready to answer our 5 million questions. We got our passes and raced off to meet the guy under the blue tent. Unfortunately a huge group rented the last of the kayaks so the guy offered us to use the sturdier kayaks. I’m looking down like well I know I gained a few pounds but is my butt really that big? A sturdier kayak? What does that mean? The others aren’t sturdy...? They were sturdy all right. Like floating around in a Cadillac. They took the wake of those boats like a champ. The water was cold AF and no one warned me about the two little holes they strategically place right under your rear end that let the seat area fill with water. You’ve been warned. And you’re welcome. It’s ok though bc my butt is a little bigger than it was last year so I only mildly felt the change in temperature. If you’ve got a big butt ask for the sturdier kayak. For real. We got to watch the police pull over a Kamikaze Jet skier. No speeding mmmK Bro? And don’t use the handicap shower bc it doesn’t turn off. We found that out after we made it to the locker room. The water was warm though and the company was great! Will definitely go back!

There were plentiful amounts of equipment, all in good shape. It's an interesting area for bird watching and the kayaks let us get in close.
