Had the opportunity to sail on this ship in Sandy Hook Bay out of Atlantic Highlands Yacht Club on a beautiful summer night in August. It was perfect in every way. The crew is friendly and knowledgeable and all 4 sails were raised as we sailed the bay for almost 3 hours. Special mention for crewmember Chris, whose enthusiasm and... More

We booked this sail as part of a fundraiser for Plymouth 400, a nonprofit planning the quadricentennial celebration of the landing of the pilgrims. It was exciting and great fun to be on the replica of the America, the first to win the America's cup. The captain was entertaining with a lot of history and many stories. Snacks and drinks... More

I was lucky enough to take a sail with my dad from Plymouth, Mass. My dad uses a cane and needed support getting on and off the boat. The crew was amazing! Chris greeted us and put us at ease right away! He was very helpful and kind! Brie was also very supportive. The captain is fantastic. He is easy... More

The "America" is a treat to see and sail on.One cannot pick your weather. a 2 1/2 hrs "sail turned into a 1 hours sail and a 11/2 hour motor boat ride. That of course is the chance one takes with sail boats. The Captain was great and really well up on "America" cup boat racing of all era's He... More

The schooner America out of San Diego is a replica of the original America for which the America's Cup is named. My husband and I "yachted" on the America for a two-hour tour of Plymouth Bay (Massachusetts). Fantastic weather, friendly and informative crew. The captain/co-owner gave an interesting narration including a history of the original America. Loved every minute! Highly... More

I sailed on America for 3 hours on a Tuesday evening from the Maine Maritime Museum in Bath, Maine. The wind was light, as expected in the evening and on a river (the Kennebeck) but the captain had us under sail without the engine as much as possible. America is a beautiful replica ship. The captain's narration of the history... More

The Captain gave an excellent review of the history of America's Cup. The crew was helpful and willing to answer the many questions we had. We got to raise the sails and the ride was thoroughly enjoyable. The one thing that was only slightly disappointing was that although the sails were up we really traveled on engine power. There was... More

Such an amazing opportunity to sail on a magnificent boat. The yacht America demonstrated American excellent in the face of our prior overlords and it was wonderful to be able to sail on such a great replica while it's here in the northeast. Troy is a gracious host who was able to fill in historical perspective and his crew was... More

The trip was great but we didn't pack food or drinks because we read that there was drinks and snacks on board. There wasn't anything offered and we were really hungry. Some other passengers shared their peaches but it took the edge off a great experience. I was really hungry the whole time. Nice ship. One crew member was outstanding...the... More

You will get to help raise the sails then cruise smoothly at high speed. You'll also get to go below for a tour of the staterooms and America's Cup memorabilia.
