Lots of different walks of people here. We went around sunset to watch the people. beach fire pits, and of course the sun. It was very pretty, just a little crowded for my taste

We rented scooters and bikes and did this end to end. VIsited again later. Lots of activity and lively during the day. It was pretty dead and a lot of places closed early, so evening was pretty dull. This could be because we were there...More

Read previous reviews which made me want to go ! Started at the Belmont Park end and walked up to Pacific Beach...just a wide promenade (pleasant enough) sea views/surfers but nothing to look at except mostly rental properties. Alot of bicycles and electric scooters but...More

My 34 year old son and I spent the day strolling, eating, drinking, shopping, viewing the tremendous surf that day. so many choices and too little time! Well worth planning on a complete afternoon and taking advantage of happy hours!

Boardwalk on Mission Beach is one of my favorite places to walk and watch. Lots to do and lots of people. Rough weather can sometimes deposit sand and water in places so moving along can be tough, but its the beach. Love to watch the...More

We stayed 1 block off the Boardwalk, and really enjoyed the atmosphere on Mission Beach. Lots of activity, people watching, and abundance of restaurants and bars nearby. Beautiful Pacific Sunsets. A must do is sign up for the apps to use the scooters. Reasonable $...More

Best Spot on Mission Beach (8 Replies)
I am planning to visit Mission Beach/San Diego first week of August. I considering renting a vacation home on Mission Beach Boardwalk. It will be my husband, two teenagers and myself. We love to people watch and be around the action. Where on the mission the boardwalk would be a good location to avoid having to Rent a car and still being able to access restaurants and shop? I was thinking the center near Belmont Park. Can any one provide feed back on this area and what I should expect. Is...More

Mission Beach (5 Replies)
Just found a condo rental that looked reasonable for next summer on Mission Beach. "Steps from Bayside Boardwalk and across the street from Mission Beach Boardwalk" Does that mean anything to anyone? Wanted to make sure that most of this area is safe and family friendly. Kids are 16,13 and 12. We want something close to fun spots, but not like Spring Break! We also love hiking and outdoors so I'm wondering if a beach town in a more remote area might be better. Of course, we'll still...More

this sounds like south mission beach. during school there are a lot of college kids. then in the summer it becomes vacation rentals, so you will meet several summer renters. check it out and keep in touch with the forum. if you have an address, some one will know exactly where it is.
