Obviously the best view of the San Diego area, but also with interesting history of the lighthouse on the point. Visit the national cemetery and pay respects.

Of San Diego and the Pacific are available from this National Monument. Your passes to National Parks work here! The lighthouse on the Pacific Ocean side is very photogenic. We highly recommend for its setting and short strolls to great sights.

Brought our friend here for his birthday and his first visit, and he loved it. The day was overcast and the view was still breathtaking.

We went out on the point for the lighthouse and whale watching. When we got out and saw the immense vista of water, I was afraid we'd never spot a whale in that expanse. Within two minutes of standing at the wall we spotted a...More

When you leave hear you have a good 10 minutes before anyone speaks! It is so moving to see all these Heros pictured around the monument and realizing that is only a very few of the millions that have fought for us....

They have a few larger spaces marked for RV's and buses. The rest are standard parking spaces.

Yes , I think so, but recommend calling Park directly to confirm (or check their website). I didn't notice any pets while there, but wasn't really paying attention to that given the scenic beauty.
