On October 8th I went out on a public sail on Il Moro. I cannot rave enough about what I wonderful experience I had. This is an experience suitable for all ages and all levels of experience and ability. There is truly something for everybody. If you wish to be just a passenger, you can sit back and enjoy the sites of San Diego Bay in comfort with nice refreshments and a very friendly crew. If you wish to be more active, the crew provide opportunities to work on the grinders, hoist sails and even helm the boat. For the sailing enthusiast, each passenger was given an opportunity at the helm so you can go back to your club or to the office and let everybody know you sailed an America's cup boat. Bea and the crew take pictures and answer questions about the boat and, to a person, make you feel like a welcomed guest on their vessel. Having lived in San Diego for over 30 years I can honestly say this was one of the very best ways to see our beautiful city and one of the best times I've ever had on the bay. I cannot recommend this more highly!!!

While we unable to sail on Stars and Stripes we did tale Il Mora and it was a great experience. Lynn our captain was great as was the rest of the crew. It was a bucket list day and well worth the money. The knowledge regarding the history of the Americas Cup racing as well as the local knowledge made for an entertaining day. I have a whole new respect for the guys that race those boats, it is hard work and you have to be in shape do it in competition. Thank goodness we only had to participate when we wanted to. My family and I will never forget the day and we thank everyone on board for making it a dream come true.

We worked through Captain Lynn and booked the Il Moro for a private event on Friday 9/4/2020. It was perfect. Great weather, winds, and crew. Get there early for the briefing on America's Cup in San Diego. A great way to start the evening. Captain Glen worked our group "grinding" through each step of our voyage. The crew was very engaging, sharing alot of history about the Navy and the harbor, and even a few jokes! The crew added alot of flavor to the sail trip. We are so thankful to all of them. It was so much more special than we had hoped for. And the photography was excellent. I got a shot of my wife and daughters that was totally worth the cost of the whole trip. And I am sure our guests had a blast too. None of us were "nautical" in any way, and now we can't wait for the America's Cup race. The whole experience, from working with Captain Lynn, the briefing, and the sail was perfect. We wouldn't change a thing. And we have amazing photos that captured our evening. We can't wait to come back and do it again! Thanks to all, Don and Lois

We had a wonderful day sailing Il Moro on the bay to celebrate my father's 75th birthday. It was great fun to hear about the history of the America's Cup and how the boat fit into that lore. The crew was quick to explain the boat, how things worked, the quirks of such a vessel and even points of interest around the bay. This is clearly a passion of everyone on board and they really enjoy just being out there on a pretty unique sailing vessel. Don't miss the opportunity!

What a fun time! This is a wonderful way to spend half a day in San Diego. We enjoyed a brief informational presentation about the America’s Cup and about ship building- specifically how remarkably built is this vessel! We boarded and had a wonderful three hour sailing adventure. The crew was friendly, competent, and knowledgeable about the boat and San Diego. Everyone got to help raise the sails and steer the boat. There were enough deckhands that we felt like we were on a private trip because they spoke with us the entire time. I highly recommend this trip for anyone- young and old. You will have a great time!
