What an experience in people watching/dodging. Everything imaginable going on, all in the space of the boardwalk and the beach. In a week we did scooters, bikes, walks, runs, volleyball, surf jumping, reading, digging, and just gazing into the distance. And the weather wasn't great,...More

This is one of the best places in San Diego to go to! Never bored, the waves will entertain you if the people dont. You cannot go here and say that you didnt enjoy yourself. Even Scrooge had fun here!

A great place to hang out, take a walk, whatever. Plenty of restaurants and shops in the area. The kids loved it, of course.

Pretty beach with sort of an old time Coney Island with hipsters feel. There are numerous eateries, an amusement park, and the expected foot traffic. It’s not the prettiest beach in the area but you won’t ever lack for things to do.

The beach is conveniently located with a amusement park and lot of eateries near by. Not quite the silent type of beach. If you love being around people having fun on the beach than this is the place,

Beautiful, clean beach. Gorgeous sun set. It was colder than usual . Enjoyed every minute of it. Some how it was less crowded too.

Nope. Frowned upon. Try Ocean Beach or Del Mar. Both have great dog beaches
