Founded in 1916, the Zoo has been an icon in San Diego for nearly 100 years—and an absolute must-see in Southern California. Spend the day monkeying around in our tropical oasis as you visit beautiful habitats that are home to gorillas, eagles, tigers, sun bears, Asian leopards, rare reptiles, a palette of colorful birds, and more. Visit the Australian Outback to delight in our colony of 24 koalas, and travel along Panda Trek to experience giant pandas and other animals that share their bamboo forest habitat. Go back in time through Elephant Odyssey to discover what animals used to roam Southern California and see what the elephants are up to. Enjoy a guided tour on a double-decker bus or the scenic view from the Skyfari aerial tram, and dine in the peaceful surroundings of Albert's Restaurant. Discover the wonders of wildlife with animal encounters, interactive experiences, and keeper chats. A leader in animal care and conservation, the San Diego Zoo is at the heart of the San Diego experience.

This has got to be one of the best zoos in the world. The amazing and well cared and prolific species of animals are on par of not better than any zoo in the world. If you live in San Diego must purchase an annual...More

Every year I take my grandchildren to the Zoo. And every year it gets better and better. There's always a new habitat/enclosure. Gone are the days of cages and cramped housings. It is always cool due to the extensive greenery and the food is great....More

Just love our zoo! I'm faithful member for about sixteen years and never disappointed. With my baby girl we spend her early years in its shade. Still love it.

We've been going to the zoo for probably more than 30 years, but we had never been at night. It was a great experience, especially since the animals were down most of the day due to a heat wave. Great experience, hands down the best...More

It is a very large zoo and lots of walking to see many different animals. Some like Pandas, reindeer and gorillas which you are not able to see at some of the smaller zoos. I loved the flamingos too.

It is quite hilly and takes a while to get through it, but well worth it. But you can always pay to take the bus around, which you should fo first to figure out what you want to see.

Your photos should have come available already. If they still have not I would contact their customer service number on their site.
