I love the park and could have spent a couple of days here, there is so much to see and do. If I had to choose between the zoo and Balboa Park it would be the park. There are zoos everywhere but not a Balboa Park - not your average city park. Check it out.

I feel like I should have liked this, but I didn't. It's a crowded touristy place with lots of very small and not very good, but expensive museums. There is a stinky train. There are some pretty buildings. I would definitely skip this...go to the zoo for sure, but definitely just skip the rest of it.

We went to the races on Tuesday night and brought some food and beers with us. You couldn't find a friendlier group of people. We had a blast!

Beautiful landscaping, educational exhibits and beautiful architecture. The San Diego Zoo is a great experience where the animals are healthy and well cared for.

What better way to spend a sunny afternoon than walking around Balboa Park. Enjoy the flowers and gardens, the fountains and the amazing buildings. We spent a couple of leisurely hours wandering around and then ate our picnic and watched other people go by.

We make this a must see stop whenever we visit San Diego. It is so beautiful here. We were able to climb the newly opened California Tower at the Museum of Man. At $20/per senior, we thought it a bit pricey but it was entertaining. Lunch at the Prado is always a plus as well.

Balboa Park is always an attractive place for a stroll along El Prado, at all times of day. Most recently, we visited at 6 pm. There were lots of folks about, strolling, taking photos of nature and the lovely architecture, walking dogs. A theatre event was about to begin, which drew a crowd as well. Enjoy!

A moving tribute for us to visit, on D-Day, the unveiling of the bust of Brig. Gen. Robert Cardenas in front of the Veterans Center in Balboa Park. The park of course, is wonderful, as is the Zoo and the various museums. Less known is the Veterans Center, in front of which is a statue of a B-24 Liberator, the... More

A lot to do and see. Loved the museums, architecture, gardens, the small art colony and the people! Ate lunch outside and watched the locals, there were jugglers, uni-cyclists, dancing and music! Great way to spend a day!
