We paid for both tours but ended up only finishing one because my 3 year old decided to ruin everything by having a loud fit - we left the second tour after barely getting down the bottom of the stairs. That being said, me and my husband very much enjoyed what we saw. The tour guides were knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. I’ll be honest - I nearly didn’t go because I read some reviews that said if you get a certain tour guide you get a sermon in the cave. Maybe we missed it with the second tour, but I’m glad we went!

My wife, son, and I were in the Buffalo National River area mainly to hike. But our rainy day back-up plan was to tour these caves. The rain this past Monday triggered the back-up.
We did the combo tour of both the Mystic and Dome caverns, @ ~$20/ person.
We thought the Mystic cave and tour were more interesting, but both were well worth it.
Picture of the gift shop / tour office entrance and several from inside both caves are attached.
There is plenty of parking in front of the gift shop /tour office, walking through the caves and the few steps was fairly easy.

This cavern was really cool! I was hesitant at first due to the bad ratings but so glad I went. Every one was so nice! Yes, one of the caverns is 110ft down some stairs so in order to exit the cave you have to climb back up! I’m not in good shape and was very out of breath at the end but it was expected. I seen many reviews about this. So just keep in mind if you can’t do stairs may not be your best bet. Definitely not worth complaining about it in the reviews.
Next, I met the owners and the two younger people that do the tour. The owner was very friendly! The younger gentleman was a very good tour guide. The younger lady was also good but very awkward.
As for the cave itself, when looking at reviews, some people say “not worth it because it was vandalized” which is true. We still took our chances and found out that, yes, it was vandalized but it was back in the early 1900s when it was first discovered. People would throw parties and had a full moonshine distillery in the cavern causing there to be lots of sot!
Over all, this place was very much worth them money. I have been to quite a few other cavers and some are better than others but this is definitely up there with my favorites!

We have been to a few caverns as a family and this was by far the smallest and most expensive. Kinda disappointing. Don't get me wrong, it was nice. There are only 2 rooms and they have them split into different price points. More expensive than Carlsbad Caverns or any other cavern. Guide was ok, average. This could not be a self guided cavern because it would take 3min to see everything. They show no maps and exaggerate about the time it will take. More time spent in the gift shop than actually underground. We felt like we got ripped off by a tourist trap. Would be worth it if the price was cut in half and they showed both rooms without splitting them up. Would not recommend

Drove in from another state to tour cavern. Followed signs all the way there. Even the huge billboard right before the entrance announced MYSTIC CAVERN! Gate was closed, place closed down. Not one single person in Branson knew of the cave closing. Several people suggested the tour as a great place to see. They should remove their fliers from all hotels and gas stations so they stop wasting peoples time! Thankfully we found other things to see so the gas money wasn't a total waste at almost $4 gallon. I would rate it a ZERO if it were an option.

Ben was our tour guide and was very knowledgeable and pointed out a lot of formations along with giving us a lot of history about the caverns. We took tours of the two caverns. It was an easy stroll (stairs but not bad) through the caverns. There are a lot of neat formations in the caverns. The grounds are well maintained, too.

Really pretty
Very pretty area, well taken care of, tour guides were very knowledgeable and made the tour fun. Would recommend to go on both tours. They allow you to drink water in the caves.

I took my two granddaughters (ages 9 and 13) there while they were in Arkansas visiting. We all enjoyed the tour of the caverns. Very cool. Our tour guide (Dakota) was very friendly, funny and informative. We would definitely recommend it to others. And it's one more memory I have with my girls.

My wife and I recently visited both caverns. Our guide, Ben, did a great job explaining the features and history of both caves. Beautiful features. Very comfortable tour. The one cave does have a lot of steps. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Really enjoyed the tour. Will be back with our grandson

The caverns are neat, if you’ve never been inside one before then I recommend it for the experience. It was pretty short, maybe 30 minutes in each one. It was wet, and my understanding is that it’s always like that so make sure you wear appropriate shoes. My 9 year old said it was pretty cool, but he wouldn’t want to do it again. It was almost $60 for a family of 3.

We're traveling with a fur baby (small Frenchie) , are we allowed to bring her if she's leashed?

How large are the caves inside?
Written August 5, 2017
No stooping or crawling required; two spacious caverns, but alas, I cannot remember the dimensions.
