Stop here when visiting Forbes Field. A now-closed Air Force Base, south of Topeka. Small but impressive.

Being a Military Veteran I always like checking out Museums for any branch of Military. This was not a let down. It was so cool to see all the things this Museum had to offer. Definitely a fun thing do with any size family.

I wanted to visit this museum because it is also home to the 35th Infantry Division which my father served in during WW2. I was not disappointed. Nice quality display and VERY welcoming volunteer who showed us around. In addition to the 35th WW2 memorabilia...More

I didn't know there was so much history of the National Guard. The staff was friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the M*A*S*H display. So recognizable from the TV set.

The hours are 10:00 am - 4 pm Monday through Saturday. Anyway, they were when I was there. And yes, no admission charge, but donations gladly accepted.
