We took our toddler grandson to Gage Park for a great afternoon. The park is 160 acres that first opened in 1899 and has activities for all ages. We visited multiple areas with playground equipment, rode the Mini-Train on a mile-long circle around the park, rode the century-old Carousel in the Park and visited the excellent Zoo. We also walked... More

Very nice place to hang out and walk a dog or take your kids. Drove through the general area while at the zoo. Would return

We are from Kansas City but I took my son to Topeka for a mini trip for doing so well in school... Gage Park did not disappoint! We had made a trip over to the Children's Discovery Center next door, and stopped at Gage Park afterwards... We were bummed that the train wasn't open yet, but we sure loved the... More

I used to live across the street from this park. So beautiful. The Rose Garden was my favorite to walk through. My family and I took the little train around the park a few times. The zoo has really turned into a great little place over the years. Although would love to see a larger place for the big cats... More

There are many great things to do here. Multiple playgrounds, picnic areas, ball fields, dog park, horseshoe court, the Topeka zoo (small), the Kansas Children's Discovery Center (amazing for small kids), a carousel, a mini-train ride, a rose garden, decorative ponds. This is worth a visit time and time again.

We visited the park during a break from a swim meet. The park is Huge! Tons of open space, plenty of playground equipment and cool animal sculptures to climb on. There is also the zoo, a water park and a train to ride on. We only utilized the playground and my kids loved it. Also a cool rose garden and... More

This is a great park and it is large! There are many things to do there including: ice skating, zoo, train, playground, theatre, and more. The playground is fun and animal themed. Beware this gem of a park gets busy on sunny days

Gage Park is the premier Topeka family park. There is an aquatic center, playgrounds, a discovery center, gardens, a mini train ride, a bark park for your dogs, and sport fields - and in addition the Topeka Zoo is here. The city keeps the park in good shape. You should visit.
