Off the beaten path, but historical buildings, variety of gardens with paths and benches. Soda fountain/ice cream shop. You can walk through some of the buildings or take a tour. Plenty of free parking. Very educational on some Topeka history.

Easy to take a self-guided tour in about an hour. Guided tours are also provided 3 times a day. Not "rebuilt" buildings, but actual buildings transported from various parts of Kansas, so very interesting and educational. Would recommend.
I have gone here for ages, sometimes alone, sometimes with famlily/friends. So charming and educational. In the summer, they have an event, after dark ( can't remember the name)...anyway...the whole place glows with twinkle lights and various beautiful lighting displays...utterly,utterly define. It's a fave.
