Go there often. For a relaxing lunch a stroll or just to share it with people that have never been. Used to take a group from the home where I worked at least once a year. I’ll miss that they always enjoyed it. Tulip season...More

Very nice. The heat had affected the flowers but the walk paths were very well maintained. We were married there 40 years ago and it is still beautiful.

This hidden gem offers a great mix of history and biology in a quiet Topeka neighborhood. The historic village re-creation is a neat glimpse into Kansas past and can offer interesting facts even without a tour guide thanks to helpful informational signage. The surrounding gardens...More

Off the beaten path, but historical buildings, variety of gardens with paths and benches. Soda fountain/ice cream shop. You can walk through some of the buildings or take a tour. Plenty of free parking. Very educational on some Topeka history.

I have watched this wonderful historical park grow over the years! There is so much to see here now! The Ward Meade House is lovely and a MUST visit. It introduces the visitor into the life of the people of early Topeka and their children....More

Easy to take a self-guided tour in about an hour. Guided tours are also provided 3 times a day. Not "rebuilt" buildings, but actual buildings transported from various parts of Kansas, so very interesting and educational. Would recommend.

I have gone here for ages, sometimes alone, sometimes with famlily/friends. So charming and educational. In the summer, they have an event, after dark ( can't remember the name)...anyway...the whole place glows with twinkle lights and various beautiful lighting displays...utterly,utterly define. It's a fave.

Dogs must be on leash as per city requirements, but are welcome in the outdoor areas of the park. I have taken my dogs there several times.
