Not much to do on a Saturday but walk through the small gardens. Gardens were poorly maintained. Had potential. I was expecting more.

I've been to Ward Meade several times. I always seem to see something I missed the prior visit. Our daughter was married in the back of the White House. The spacious porch was a great place to get out of the sun. The grounds of...More

This is a delightful site that tries to reproduce the feeling of a Topeka of long ago. There are numerous period buildings that were moved to this site. There is a Victorian mansion, a small garden area and a short "prairie town" street. In addition,...More

Worth a quick look around the old properties that have moved to this location. It's a pretty and very tidy outdoor museum. The botanical gardens are right next to it.

I have been visiting this place for over 30 years and always find it enjoyable. I even shot some video for my memory tools which turned out great except for the highway noise which is close but unseen.

Took my granddaughter here as it is one of my favorite local spots. We both took lots of photos and enjoyed the collection of old structures. I told her stories of the pioneers and of my ancestors. A definite must see when in Topeka.

Dogs must be on leash as per city requirements, but are welcome in the outdoor areas of the park. I have taken my dogs there several times.
