rebuilt and open again! cool place to see tornado aftermath

Rebuilt after a tornado flattened the entire landscape. If you've never seen this it's a great opportunity to get an idea of what a tornado can do. Also a pretty place to take... read more

stopped by for the name. We were going to camp for a night but the camp site is full of old RVs and old people living here (I wonder if they ever pay for the RV spot). It seems like the entire camp site is their home and some of them even has its own garden on the site! (Wow)... More

Recently re-opened Lake was closed due to April 2014 tornado, but has been restored and improved. Check local fishing license requirements before you 'wet your hook'

The lake and grounds were very picturesque and although storm damaged it still made for a wonderful afternoon out with the kids! There is ongoing work being carried out but piers are in place and picnic tables so despite cool weather we had a great time!

This attraction is closed....rating is only due to the facilities not being available at all. There was storm damage that is being repaired.....so do not plan to visit this campground without checking on its status ahead of time.

Our first stay in Tupelo, we were very pleased with this park. A rating of very good may be a stretch but certainly above average. I can see where a superintendent with some extra funds could make improvements in the restroom facility but everything worked. I've paid much more for a lot less. We used site 3, the pull-through. It... More

We went on a weekday, before the end of the school holidays and it was empty - no one there. Drove right up the little promontory, down to the pier decking and basked in the sun. Perfectly peaceful and plain gorgeous views over the lake. Only really came up as we wanted to see what was there so to speak... More

Somebody who gets paid to manage this place should grab a trash bag and hit the trail (or hit the bricks and find a new gig)! Nice park but unforgivable site conditions with bottles and cans, butts and paper plates piled in and around the picnic table area of many sites. Nice lake. No swimming?? Fishing pictures looked good. We... More

Nice lake, nice campgrounds, but if you ban swimming at a lake, why bother camping? I mean, whenever we camp we swim, and this is Mississippi where it's hotter than Hades, yet they banned swimming because, they said there were too many people getting drunk and drowning. Really? How stupid is that? We've traveled all over America and this is... More
