Nice lake, nice campgrounds, but if you ban swimming at a lake, why bother camping? I mean, whenever we camp we swim, and this is Mississippi where it's hotter than Hades, yet they banned swimming because, they said there were too many people getting drunk and drowning. Really? How stupid is that? We've traveled all over America and this is the first time we've ever encountered something like this; we are all adults, let us make our own choices.

Somebody who gets paid to manage this place should grab a trash bag and hit the trail (or hit the bricks and find a new gig)! Nice park but unforgivable site conditions with bottles and cans, butts and paper plates piled in and around the picnic table area of many sites. Nice lake. No swimming?? Fishing pictures looked good. We camped there in a 40' RV and had good space and 50 amps on some sites. Dump station. 18 bucks per night. We left a detailed note in the Honor Box (since we came in after hours and left early) with our complaint (and phone). No response. Says alot.

Our first stay in Tupelo, we were very pleased with this park. A rating of very good may be a stretch but certainly above average. I can see where a superintendent with some extra funds could make improvements in the restroom facility but everything worked. I've paid much more for a lot less. We used site 3, the pull-through. It was cold but we had a very nice view of the lake just out the windshield. I bet when it warms up it fills up.

Harassed by game warden and given a ticket because our guests child(15) took her life vest off as we were idling our boat onto our trailer while trying to get out before a storm hit . We were not driving around the lake , we were loading the boat onto the trailer .He said they can't remove jackets if the big motor is running .It was idling onto the trailer !!!! If you go to EP lake , be ready to be harassed for passing gas or burping to loud , disturbing the peace would be the ticket .

stopped by for the name. We were going to camp for a night but the camp site is full of old RVs and old people living here (I wonder if they ever pay for the RV spot). It seems like the entire camp site is their home and some of them even has its own garden on the site! (Wow) The park is super trashy and camp site is just too scary and pricy. ($18 for tents only) The restroom is not cleaned and some even not working. The management surely needs to improve the property. Will not recommend to anyone.

This attraction is closed....rating is only due to the facilities not being available at all. There was storm damage that is being repaired.....so do not plan to visit this campground without checking on its status ahead of time.

We went on a weekday, before the end of the school holidays and it was empty - no one there. Drove right up the little promontory, down to the pier decking and basked in the sun. Perfectly peaceful and plain gorgeous views over the lake. Only really came up as we wanted to see what was there so to speak but very glad for the experience. I guess the US has a huge reservoir of scenes like this but coming from the UK this was something special. An unexpected highlight of our trip.

A large recreational area, dominated by some magnificent lakes. There is no Elvis centre to the campground - he is reported to have played with his mates around there as a boy. There is a good road in and out. Pull offs for the campers and RV users. Plenty of space. A good place to picnic.
