I’ve lived in Boston for 15 years and this is probably the best, most fun, and adventurous experience I’ve had here. If you’re going to go, request the doors off, no question. Makes it an unreal experience with the absolute best views of the city and surrounding areas that you will ever have. To sit on the edge of the helicopter with your feet dangling as you pass over Fenway, the harbor, financial district and the Charles is a once in a lifetime and worth every penny. Jeff was awesome - made it a truly fun, thrilling trip. Can’t recommend this enough.

My husband and I did a doors-off tour of Boston for our anniversary and it was definitely the most fun thing I have ever done! Jeff was such a great guy and an awesome guide. I was harnessed in and once we got to Boston I sat right on the edge of the helicopter with my feet on the skid and had a completely uninhibited view of the city. It was exciting and yet very peaceful! Like we were just floating above the city. I got incredible photos and videos from my phone that we will cherish forever.

We weren't sure what to expect but it blew our minds. We were still sort of coming down from the high of seeing Boston from the sky hours or even the next day later. It was my boyfriend's first time really touring Boston, and we basically saw all the neighborhoods and sites we visited from above. That was cool. As someone grew up in Boston and recently moved away, I was just in awe of seeing everything from the sky. It was humbling. Anyways, very cool experience. It was totally worth whatever we paid for it. We did the city tour with doors off (woohoo!).

Had high expectations coming in, and Jeff didn’t disappoint! We opted for the sunset tour of downtown (no harbor) which was incredible. The “sprint” from the airport to downtown (about 5 minutes) was pretty chilly with the doors off, but once we got over the city and just hovered around for a while, we realized why so many people had recommended this... We will be back (apparently you can ask to sit with your legs hanging out the side so we’ll ask for this next time!) Whether you’re a local or just visiting, this is a Boston must do...

This helicopter experience proved to be a total adrenaline buzz.
State of the art, spacious helicopter with the doors off and an absolute cool dude of a pilot named Jeff. This guy clearly enjoys every moment of a tour. Views are breath taking to say the least and a very memorable experience had by everyone on board. This is a must for any aviation/photographer junkies !

Thanks to Jeff for an absolutely amazing experience. We have had a great time in Boston but this has blown us away.

My girlfriend is scared of heights but once we were up in the air she had her legs out the side of the helicopter!

Don't miss out on this experience whatever you do.

Thanks again,
Liam

Would highly recommend this for any filmmakers or photographers. I was able to capture aerial videos and pictures that I didn't dream was possible. Thanks to this unique tour, I was able to experience Boston from a completely different perspective. Would 10/10 go back.

Hover Boston is a fantastic group to work with and the tour was incredible. They are easy to work with, flexible to schedule, and put on a great tour. I'm an amateur photographer and was hoping to get some great shots of the city and Hover Boston definitely delivered. The route hit all the main spots of Boston from the Seaport, Waterfront, Financial District, Back Bay, Charles, Fenway, Prudential and provided ample time to soak it all in even though it was just 30 minutes. Flying doors off is a unique experience too that feels incredible and gets you even closer to the city and better shots.

Two things that I think are key that set Hover Boston apart from the rest are safety and price. For something like a helicopter tour, especially doors off, safety is key. Other helicopter charters may only have seatbelts that aren't as confidence inspiring. Hover Boston sets you up with a full 4-point harness and carabiner clip in, as well as the traditional seat belt for that added confidence in safety while flying with the doors off.

As for price, as of October 2016 they were $199 for 30 minutes which is what other cities will charge for 15 minutes - the deal in great, the service is fantastic, and the experience is incredible.

Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great experience in Boston.

I'll begin by saying that I have flown with over a dozen photo and sightseeing helicopter trips over major cities in the US. I have had bad experiences and good ones, and this was definitely the top of the list!!

Tuckamore Aviation and the pilot, Jeff, provided an incredible experience. Jeff flew the helicopter over the best sights, knowing exactly where to go and what angles to give the passengers. He was polite, friendly, and a really knowledgable guy when it came to photography and flying.

I would 100% recommend the Hover Boston flight or any other service they provide!
