About
Room Escapers Boston offers challenging, interactive escape rooms and all private experiences at two downtown Boston locations: in the Old Corner Bookstore and in the Blackstone District in the Cornerstone building. Our performances are top rated by escape game enthusiasts and novices alike! Large and immersive show designs, in-character performers, unique puzzles and audience interactions, and exciting story lines make for one of kind experiences. Our spacious lobby is great for company or group team building, events and parties. From helping a tour guide on a daring shipwreck scavenge of the historic sunken pirate ship the Whydah, helping a lead FBI agent crack the case on organized crime in the early 90’s in Boston, to exploring a long forgotten Apothecary that was operational in the Old Corner Bookstore in the early 1700s, our show themes are based on real events and happenings in Boston’s rich history. Room Escapers is a locally owned Boston based company

Neighborhood: Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.

My friends and I had a really fun time doing “Streaming.” Eddie was a great Game Master, he answered all of our questions and seemed to be genuinely having fun! The room had a fun mix of mental and physical challenges. I wish there was some background music in the rooms, that always enhances escape rooms!

My boyfriend and I did Room Escapers Pirate Booty II escape room and had a blast. I had originally done the Organized Chaos escape room with my coworkers for a company event and realized I had knack for doing puzzles, so I brought my boyfriend with me to do their other escape room the following week. We were paired with another group of 6 who were an absolute delight. The puzzles for both rooms were great and not overly challenging to the point of frustration, though It definitely requires some observation and thinking. The staff was very helpful and provided clues (but did not reveal too much either). Highly recommend!

Very fun escape experience with lots of fun puzzles to solve. The puzzles were solvable at a reasonably fast pace -- it felt sort of like a movie -- and everyone in the group could participate together. Very well done with a lot of attention to detail. Jeff was a very great host. In addition, when we signed up with a party of 8, he closed the session (which could have held 10) so our group could be on our own. Highly recommended!

A really fun team-building activity. It exercises your brains and leverages each member’s unique gifts for obscure facts abt mental dexterity.

This was a genuinely well designed room in that there were no mechanical locks. All the seven puzzles needed to be solved by a combination of thought, deduction and reading clues carefully.
The visual aesthetics were well constructed and I would thoroughly recommend. This was also the only Boston escape room I could find that offered an exclusive 4-player experience without needing to pay for unused spaces or having others join your group.

They were incredibly accommodating of 4 high schoolers and myself. Below is what my student said.
Room escapers was a really fun and interesting escape room. The riddles weren’t to hard were we couldn’t find out anything but they were fun and cool puzzles that we had to solve. I highly recommend to go to room escapers because they have really fun and cool escape rooms and they would be so fun to do them a group.

My family has done this kind of game before (in a different city) and was excited to do a different one. However this one left us unimpressed, to say the least.
The game concepts are fine, but they don't always work!
First, we arrived 10 minutes early as instructed and was asked to come back in 15 mins. Ok, completely understand that the previous group may have taken a but longer, but there was no place INSIDE to wait. We had to stand outside on the street.
Came back and was told to wait ANOTHER 15 mins! Stood outside the doors some more. 20 minutes AFTER our reservation time, we were finally buzzed into the building.
The puzzles were ok, but quality had a LOT to be desired, especially for the price! We solved puzzles, but half of the time it didn't trigger the next step!
Some puzzles pieces didn't always exist and we were told that some of them were broken and they others some weren't working correctly.
Unexceptable!
For our group of 6, we paid $180 for a 1 hour game- one should be able to expect the game to work! They shouldn't fall apart or be incomplete.

I’ve done many escape rooms in Boston and this one was by far my favorite. The backstory is good, the room really makes you feel like you’re inside the story and the puzzles are challenging but doable. It was only 3 of us (we’ve done these type of games before, but if you haven’t you may want to go with a bigger group) and we were able to complete it right under 60 minutes. Had a fantastic time and look forward to other rooms from this group.

This was a family activity Thanksgiving weekend. (no teens or children). There were some very smart people in the group, and it still took us 55 minutes and a few clues to solve. There was a Christmas theme which was fun for the time of year.

This is by far the best room escape room experience in the city. Well thought-out, great theme, and a ton of unique puzzles. If you're looking for something fun and interactive, it's a must go!

My family of 4 beat the challenge-our kids are 10 & 15. The 10y/o loves puzzles, riddles, Rubix cube, etc so he was a big help. It may be hard for a 7 y/o to stay engaged as much of it will be too hard, but Josh may give you a few answers ahead to allow the youngest to have some success. We really had fun. Can't beat the price for an hour of entertainment in the city
