About
This historic Boston market has been around since 1826, and today has over a hundred pushcarts, shops, restaurants, and food court stops. Across the three market buildings (Quincy Market, South Market and North Market), you can find interesting coffees, artisanal bread, fresh seafood and of course, the Boston favorites: lobster rolls, clam chowder and Boston cream pie. Learn more about its history on a free guided tour by the city, or along with other historic sites in Boston on a walking tour. Located along the Freedom Trail, make a stop on the way to the New England Aquarium, Beacon Hill, and the Museum of Fine Arts. – Tripadvisor

Neighborhood: Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.

Stores closed at 7pm everyday, so plan accordingly!!!! .... Food vendors are open inside Quincy Market, but it was hard to find tables and chairs to sit after purchasing the food. The food selection is mediocre, pizza, lobster sandwiches, clam chowder, mac n cheese ... I may come back in spring or summer for lunch, but I will skip the winter and dinner times.

Great selection of food to take out and nicely decorated for the holidays. There’s some seating upstairs and also a few benches outside. Wasn’t too crowded when we went for lunch on a weekday in mid December. We had clam chowder and lobster rolls from Boston Chowda which were delicious.

We had Quincy market on our "to-do" list when we visited Boston and I'm so glad we did. The architecture is beautiful, just look up. It was very busy when we arrived but I think it's always busy by the looks of it. We grabbed a Philly cheese steak and a drink and sat and watched the world go by while we ate. There is so many different food kiosks to choose from with such a lot of variety from Chinese noodles to pancakes with syrup, ice creams and curries.
There are also lots of little "cart" style stalls selling all sorts of different things from wind chimes to Boston souvenirs.

Quincy Market was one of my favorite places while visiting Boston. It was amazing to see all the different places to eat. There were so many options to choose from it was almost impossible to decide. From the Clam Chowder, pizza, desserts, you really couldn't go wrong. There are shops as well to look through which makes it a fun place to hang out in and enjoy the historic part of the market too. Definitely a must see on a trip to Boston.

Delicious food. Their lobster roll, lobster bisk, macaroons are top rated. My best food experience. I highly recommend a trip to Quincy Market if you find yourself in Boston.

Lots of food stalls, the pizza place wasn’t worth eating. Also disappointed in the Mediterranean place. Very crowded with lots of tourists. I’d recommend just walking into and out of and finding a place to eat on one of the side streets. Prices seemed high for the mediocre level of food.

Overall, the Quincy Market felt a little tourist trappy. We went early in the morning, so a lot of the eateries were closed. Had it been closer to lunch time, we probably would have tried one of the dining establishments in the market, which looked to be very good and, by other reviews, seem to be the highlight. However, we stopped in for shopping and were rather disappointed. We thought the marketplace might be filled with vendors and artisans selling handmade or unique pieces, but, for the most part, it seemed to be what you'd find at any gift shop or mall, just arranged in a slightly more quaint way. So, if you're strapped for time or you want something unique, you can probably skip over the Quincy Market without missing too much.

Also, keep in mind that the posted hours for the Marketplace do not seem to be strictly enforced. We browsed around between 10:15-10:45 am (the posted open time is 10:00 am) and found many stalls to still be closed or in the process of being set up. We were even turned away while trying to browse a stall that appeared to be open.

This is essentially a Food Court with diverse offerings for every taste. There are some tourist/ souvenir type carts on the outside, and there are very popular, clean public toilets.
We had breakfast here every day. The seafood looked delicious, but for Uk tourists it is quite pricey.
