Really good way to see the city. Drivers all provided good insightful and amusing commentary. The one issue was that some of the stops were quite some way from the attractions that were advertised. That said would definitely use again if back in Boston.

Had a great trip with a funny driver who told us lots of interesting things about Boston, including a sneaky side trip to the famous Fenway Park, just because.

A great tour to see around the city of Boston. We took the old city tour which besides being clearly explained by our tour chaffeur plus guide, was worth the value for money. It was raining on the first day, we were given the second...More

What a great way to see Boston! It hits many of the hot spots and every driver we had was funny and informative. I know it is 'off' season, but we never really had to wait more than 5 minutes at any stop. Which was...More

Doesn't stop at any hotels specifically, but if your hotel is central in Boston shouldn't be much of a walk to any of the stops. We were stopping at an airport hotel so got the metro into the centre and picked up the tour... More

It does not go that far. The trolley does stop about 1/2 block from the tea party museum. A number ride to the JFK library shouldn’t cost very much. The Freedom Trail is a nice walk that takes you along many great... More

Old Town Trolley Tours codes (0 Replies)
Does anyone know any discount codes for the Old Town Trolley Tour. I was about to purchase tickets on line and they have a spot for a discount code. I've searched but couldn't find any. If anyone knows the code I'd very much appreciate it.

Arrival at IAD on Saturday October 16 around 11AM Depart from IAD on Tuesday October 19 around 7PM We are a group of 3. Hotel prices are OK on Saturday and Sunday (approx 160 US including fees in downtown area). But on Monday night,...More

Have you read the very recent discussions about getting to FedEx field? It isn't pretty. And a night game just adds to the misery. Be sure to do a search of this forum on "fedex" and see your options. Without a car I think it is just a long ride on Metro and a mile walk along with thousands of others. Also on this forum you will find dozens of topics about choosing a hotel. And yes, weekends are usually cheaper than weekdays. Supply and demand. For the places you want to visit, the Metro...More

Monuments by day and by night (4 Replies)
Hi, We will be in Washington for three nights at the beginning of December and would like to see as many of the monuments, buildings and sights as possible. We will be doing a Monuments by Moonlight tour with the Old Town Trolley Tours is this the best way to see the monuments, or should we also visit them by day? R

Have you already scheduled your Monuments by Moonlight tour? Hopefully do it early in your trip, that way you get an overview and can decide for yourselves which particular stops on the tour warrant a return visit during the day. For example, for me, 20 minutes is enough at the Jefferson Memorial, but I could spend a couple of hours at the Lincoln Memorial enjoying the views and also visiting the nearby Vietnam and Korea memorials.
