Fantastic day with Bob Hornstein, our Urban Adventures tour guide. Ate our way through history on the north end and walked the calories off with more sights and history downtown in the afternoon. Loved the small group, the great walk, and Bob’s awesome knowledge, narrative,...More

Nothing beats exploring Boston on a bike! We had one day for a quick look-see of the city, and Boston Bike Rental was quick and efficient in hooking us up, giving us a map and a guideline of what to see, in what order and...More

Hi Jay, None of our rental bicycles come with training wheels. For younger riders, we do have baby seats, tag alongs (one-wheeler attachments), and trailers. Feel free to come in and see our selection, or give us a call to... More

I did not see any bikes with training wheels but you might want to check the company’s website and/or email them, to be sure.

Bike tour and Duck Tour (4 Replies)
Hi myself and my husband are coming to Boston for a long weekend May 30th - Jun 2nd. I have already booked for us to do a bike tour of the city with Urban Adventours. I like the sound of the Duck Tour but not sure if we will just be covering some of the same area the City View bike tour will do. Can anybody advise? Will i just be paying again for the same information albeit with different modes of transport??? many thanks Lynne

I just checked out their route. Your land portion would pretty much cover the same area. Of course, the bikes would not be going into the Charles River unless something went awry. AlanM

how much tour duplication? (4 Replies)
How much tour duplication will there be between a bike Urban AdvenTours tour vs. a trolley tour vs. a walking tour? All three are appealing, but we'll only be in town about 3 days...thank you for any assistance.

I'm not familiar with the bike tour but the walking tour will only cover a specific amount of ground and, depending on which one you take, may go go places the trolleys don't go because of narrow streets. The commentary is more in-depth because you aren't moving as fast as the trolley. The trolleys are hop on/hop off, so you hear some, get off explore more in-depth if you'd like and then get back on. They cover a lot more distance than the walking tours.

3 Day Itinerary Questions (10 Replies)
My wife and I will be in Boston (The Lenox in Back Bay) for our honeymoon for three days in June and have been trying to plan our time there. I am 30, and she is 26 ... and this will be our first trip to Boston. Here is what we have so far: Day 1 - Check in around 2:00. Stroll down Newbury Street, then to the Boston Public Garden and Boston Common before heading back to the hotel. We are having dinner at the Atlantic Fish Company at 7:30. We'll probably end up at a pub after dinner for...More

Having lived around Boston for 10 years or so, I'd say your itinerary sounds like a lot of fun! A few comments - I always recommend the Freedom Trail to people who haven't been to Boston before. It's basically a red line on the ground that winds through all the important historic sites. Also, of all the times I've been on a whale watch, I've never seen a whale. Maybe I'm just unlucky! The aquarium is right on the water and has some great exhibits. The Museum of Fine Arts is also wonderful,...More
