This was an excellent bike tour with a very knowledgable guide. We has an absolutely fabulous time and will do it again. The emerald necklace tour was around a 20 mile ride and the stops included all the sights of Boston. It was a great way to see what Boston has to offer with time to really enjoy the locations.... The great advantage of bike tours is that you can cover quite a bit of territory and really get a feel for the interesting places to visit in more detail. We had an entertaining Saturday morning tour with lots of interesting local stories. After the tour (about 2 and half hours), I had the rest of the weekend to visit... More

No tour was available on the day that we could cycle. The chap at the shop was really friendly and helpful, we hired two bikes and armed with a map plus his advice we set off! The bikes were well set up, and we had a great time.

This was an amazing experience with a thoroughly professional and well informed tour guides. Our group of 6 had 3 guides. The route was flat and seeing Boston by bike was really fun. We have a 11 year old and the ride was no problem at all and we never felt in any danger. The guides were very knowledgeable and... More

I rented a road bike (Giant Defy I...aluminum) for commuting (to and from a training class) and for touring around the city. It was awesome! The staff was friendly and helpful. They installed my clipless pedals, performed initial fitting, and provided me with all the standard riding essentials including flat kit, multi-tool, and two bottle cages. I put about 150... More

This was our second bike tour with Urban adventures. We loved both tours. Anybody that is a bike rider should go on any of the tours offered. The guides are great and the tours are really different than normal bike riding.

I enjoy seeing a city as a tourist by bike. I have done this in other cities. I took the Emerald Necklace Bike Tour in Boston and enjoyed it very much. Our tour guide, Craig, was very good. We had about 5 or 6 stops. He described the history of the emerald necklace parks, a bit of colonial era Boston... More

Staying in North End

Neighborhood Profile
North End
Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants, bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s home, and follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church and Copp’s Hill Burying Ground. Take a rest in a cafe on Hanover street and observe the quirky, European character of the North End.
